I haven't been allowed to enjoy the recent sunshine because I've been stuck indoors revising for exams BUT I will be finished by this time next week. Hopefully the weather will improve by then too... today was miserable!!

Hello there Lynn isn't the lack of bloating wonderful?? I've been very good about keeping away from wine over the past few weeks, but next week I'm going to hen party that starts at midday and ends v late and involves a Spanish meal followed by a cocktail making lesson (with drinking, of course), followed by an Italian meal with lots of wine, followed by a pub crawl, followed by a jazz club. I don't think it will be possible to stick to just a couple of glasses of wine!!

God stop talking about alcohol- I have decided to go teetotal for a year. Started last week. Right in the middle of the glorious sunshine when the beer gardens were looking sooo tempting!

Wow Mud, you from W Sussex? I grew up most of my early life in a little village there, then moved to Horsham during my teens. Escaped to London for uni though ;-)

hi kimberly - spoke too soon - it feels like mid october here today!!!! I'm in Peterborough. I bought some nice floaty vesty tops last sat and now I'm thinking where did i put that coat again.....:/

Wot stuff do you buy from boots pinks? i must admit i have eaten tesco's low carb bars in the past (still have a box in the cupboard) but did stall big time eating too many sugar alcohols so now they sit .....and sit......lol.
Wine ....ahhhh....now that's a whole different alcohol question....i try and stick to vodka and soda water or have a white wine spritzer.

This evening I had a preparatory night of drinking... it wasn't too bad. I had half a bottle of wine and 2 cocktails over 5 hours and am feeling relatively sober. Might be a different story tomorrow however, and I have probably booted myself out of ketosis too! D'oh!

Thanks for the good luck b0llywud, I'm doing a degree in maths. It's a bit too much like hard work though, and I'm struggling, but I'm sure I'll get there, eventually

Hi there

I'm another UK low-carber. Well I was. I lost 3 stones on low carb about four years ago but have put it all back on and worked out that it's the only way of eating that works for me in terms of losing weight and keeping it off!

So, I'm having a blowout on Tuesday for my birthday and then getting back into the LC lifestyle on Wednesday.

Wish me luck

Karen x

do any of you gusy know if there are any atkins / low carb type slimming clubs groups out there? No its abit controversial to say 'atkins' but low gi, more protein seems to be gaining ground.(even special K have started putting 'more ' protein into their cereal. Not that i'd ever go THERE of course!!! Have a great day everyone!
