Welcome, Koko. Glad to have you join us!

Foxgluvs, thanks for bringing the article over from FFP board. I hadn't read that and there is a lot of good info in the article.

Quote:
Are you planning to follow the plan through phase #3? If so you'll have to let us know how it is.

I haven't decided how far I'm going with this yet, but I am considering it. I like the concept of using natural foods including sweetners. That's the way I used to eat way back when I still had my family at home. I have always been uncomfortable with artificial sweetners and some of the other stuff they do to our foods these days. So Lisa, from your question, it sounds as though your aren't going through to phase 3; is that correct? How about you Hazel?

Question: Is it okay to have a smoothie in the evening even though you've had 2 fruits during the day, but have not had any whey protein for the day? I am a little hungry tonight and am wanting to snack. So far, I haven't though.

Have either of you tried to eat something not on plan? I wonder how much our taste buds have changed on this diet???? Tonight I went and got a piece of SF candy. I didn't want all of it, but just a slight sweet taste after eating dinner. To tell you the truth, it didn't taste so good. This has been my favorite SF candy bar in the past.

Okay, enough "other stuff", here is todays food:

Day 7 on FFP
weight: 112.6 (not much change; -.2)

Breakfast: none
Snack: apple
Lunch: hamburger patty and side salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots and flax oil dressing.
Snack: 1/2 grapefruit
Dinner: grilled tilapia and stir-fried vegies--zucchini, mushrooms, red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, and celery.

LLC and Hot lime water
10 minutes on rebounder

Hi Ladibug,

I'm planning on following the diet. I was just meaning you would be at Phase 3 before me, so you could say how it was. Managable or ????

The only thing off plan I've had is my protein powder, which is whey and caesin. No problems noted.

WTG, Foxie!

I'm still scaleless until tomorrow morning. I think I should be holding my own, as my eating has been good.

Hi Ladibug, as for the smoothie thing, if you have already had 2 portions of fruit in your day, another isn't alowed. The fruit in the smoothie goes towards one portion, however, if I was in your situation and it was either have another portion of fruit or eat something I shouldn't, I would definately opt for the extra fruit!

I am going to see this through to goal yes. Had you asked me that in week two, I would have said absolutely not. I am use to the plan now, where as at first, I didn't like no milk or dairy!!! I am liking the results I am getting on FF, so it would be silly not to stick with it.

On the subject of eating something not on plan; yes....I tried a cup of tea with it. My DH was having a terrible day and had gone out of his way to be nice to me even though he was feeling like the world was against him, and he made this cup of tea for me. I didn't feel like I could reject this cup of tea, so I to a slurp, and smiled sweetly.....however, it tasted FOUL!!!!!!!!!!!!
It realy tasted like the milk was 'off' but it was a fresh bottle that day.
So I do think my tastes have changed dramatically yes!

I have made my own herbal tea today, I made ginger and mint. It wasn't bad actually, I put a splash of lemon in it too - have noted I am running to the loo qite a bit, so it must be doing me some good! LOL
So PAH is what I say to no herbal teas!!! If you won't let me have 'em, I'll make my own!

Not much change in the last 2 days, but I am very pleased with my weight loss this week!! I am also feeling a little more energy than before. Still no power surge, but I believe it'll change once I'm cleansed.

Looking forward to another week in Phase 1 and then on to Phase 2. I'm hoping to lose another 3 lbs. this week. That's my conservative goal anyway. Another 5 would be heaven, but I don't want to set it too high and be disappointed.

Congratulations Foxy. You're doing awesome.

Fat Flush Plan Day 8
weight: 111.8
Total for first week of FFP: 6 lbs.
Total inches lost: 6

LLC and Hot Lime Water
5 minutes on rebounder
20 minute walk

Menu:

Brunch: Stuffed Tomato with Salmon Salad; green onions, radishes, celery sticks and cucumber sticks on the side.
Snack: 1/2 grapefruit
Dinner:grilled perch filets, steamed asparagus, side salad with flax oil dressing
Snack: peach smoothie

It's finally stopped raining so I was able to take my walk this morning.

I'm out of salad dressing so I pulled out the recipe that I used last week and discovered that it's actually called Tangy dressing and I've been calling it Zesty.

Foxie,

The ginger tea sounds really good. I used to make homemade gingerale, but you need bubbly water for that.
