This recipe would only be useful for folk who are in maintenance or pre-maintenance, as it is scarily high in carbs.

How many bars do you get from it? The linked recipe says it serves 6 people. From my reckoning, that would mean more than 36 carbs per serve!!

How about you take a look through our Sweet Treats forum, where you will find some truly low carb desserts.

We don't eat alot of desserts but when we do our most common is creme brulee. I use the large custard cups but if using the smaller ones, it would be 6 servings at 3 carbs and 207 calories.

I think that servings list is wrong, it usually yields more like 9.

I like flavored whipped creams, several varieties of the 3 minute cake, and flavored hot tea with cream and sweetener. I also enjoy natural PB or raw pecans with Lindt 85% cocoa dark chocolate.

Nope, not wrong. In fact I may have underestimated. But other members here have given you some great, much lower carb suggestions.

Heavy cream has some carbs...not a lot but some, like 6g per cup so it depends how much cream you are using. Also, if the FatFree Jello Pudding mix is what you're talking about, it's about 8g per box, if I remember correctly.

FYI.

Yes, if it is pudding...but if it is a T of jello ( fruity ) powder, you are OK. Makes a nice moussy thing. Just don't use the whole package of powder like I did the 1st time...too sweet!!!! I guess one could use crystal light, as well.

SF jello is great and no carbs--
but I stay away from the puddings--the vanilla SF fat free jello pudding has 24 carbs per box (6 per serving and 4 servings per box) and the chocolate is about 30 carbs per box.

Couldn't you add a little of the Edy's brand slow-churned "rich and creamy" no sugar ice cream (I think it's about 6 carbs per 1/2 cup serving)? It's also great as a "black cow" with diet root beer! Yummmmm. Laura

Copied from an old thread, don't know who Dom is, but this has been my favorite for years. I've made it with and without sour cream. It's very rich, so a little is very satisfying.

Dom's cheesecake pudding

8 oz heavy whipping cream
8 oz cream cheese - softened
8 oz sour cream
splenda to taste
1 tsp vanilla

Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set asside
Mix the rest of the ingredients until smooth. Fold in the whipped cream.

Enjoy!

I like a small serving of dessert. This instant one is 2 TBS Mascarpone cream and davinci syrup of any sort. I did banana or cherry or raspberry etc.
