You're going to have a fit on BOTTLED WATER and leave soda out?

This honestly beats anything I've ever seen.

There's only one barge of garbage. They just send it around for the photo ops.

I've often thought a coffee faucet would be nice....

Melt the bottles and hope some of them resemble Elvis or the Virgin Mary first.

I have the next best thing: an espresso machine and a husband whom I have trained to be a barista.

You know, I knew I heard something about that barge, but I wasn't sure if my meory served me correctly when I made my smart-barged remark.

Where can I get one of those barista-hubby thingies? I'm sure he didn't come out of the BOX that way, I'd imagine there was some assembly required?

And just for the record... I'm a trash hypocrite. I think we need to reduce our garbage output, but I used disposable diapers and am now addicted to Swiffer products.

You guys are crackin' me up! A coffee facet! Instead of hot and cold it would be caf and decaf.

I really was alarmed a few years back about how much garbage I was generating. Since then, I've really made an attempt to scale back. Sometimes a few seconds of effort can prevent the generation of needless waste.

i have a soda faucet, it's called a soda machine we bought it years ago and i just pulled it out the attic so to speak. unfortunately i can't find name brand syrups for it anymore. you used to be able to get gallon bottle of syrups, pepsi, diet coke, diet rite, vernors, etc, but i can't find it now. too bad. i tried using torani syrups, but it takes way too much so i guess i'll just use it to liven up my son's juice, gatorade, and crystal light. a coffee faucet would be nice a bunn coffee maker is pretty close though, coffee in a minute and a half. went to my daughter's house a couple of years ago and her coffee pot took (no joke here) over a half an hour to brew a pot of coffee. it was burneing before it was ever done we thought we were gonna die before we got any coffee, and then when we finally got some, it was a close thing

I'd like to be able to make my own club soda. I should get one of those thingies that carbonate water.

there is newer models out but not by the same company i don't think. i can't find any existing info one the one we have now. unfortunately, we paid a fortune for it years ago and the company and available supplies seem to have gone poof. we had actually seen one at a yard sale for $20 but didn't buy it because we wern't sure about it being complete. we ended up buying this one at the del mar fair (can you say suckers? lamo! (oh boy do i miss that fair! do you go nancy LC?) anyway, this one you pour water in the top and just push a button on top a couple of times and it carbonates the water. then you push your glass against the tab (just like on fridge dispensers) and it dispenses right into your glass. the newer models i've seen come with bottles and it makes soda right into the bottle. you can buy additional bottles and it says you have to because the pressure eventually wears the bottle out. those companies all seem to be marketing their own syrups, and in little bottles of course my husband also told me that should the company discontinue that it might be difficult to find a place to fill up such small co2 cartridges. i figure we'll play with this one awhile and see if we can still get some use out of it.

What do you call such a thing?

I don't get to the Del Mar Fair all that often any more. I usually end up buying stupid junk I never use!
