I know Chari, I did the same and have been since they were discontinued.

Which was the reason for my original post. I was hoping to convince minicarb's new name to continue making them.....if not i will make my own from scratch or by chopping up an acceptable bar. lol I just hate giving up things i like without a fight. ty for your help.

I am not on lowcarb diet as you know, but will this work?

Melt one 1 oz. square of unsweetened chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds. Mix in a Tbs. of milk and a 1/2 cup of Splenda. Spread out on a flat dish, and freeze for 15 minutes. Scrape up the firm chocolate, and form into little chips. They're so tasty!Sounds easy enough

Yes my attempt would be similar although i would most likely use polyD plus for the sweetner so it had less carbs plus the fiber.

if you look at the ingredients of the minicarb chocolate chips its 2nd listed ingedient behind chocolate liquor is polydextrose which is what polyD is.

I have both and it depend on the situation as to which I use. if its a situation like the chocolate where i want to sweeten and add fiber i use the polyD plus if its something that doesn't need sweetened but i need fiber or texture then polyD is the choice.

I know Sams Club carries the 1-carb reeses cups, but not sure if they carry the hersheys bars. The reeses cups were a box of 18 or 24 I believe and remember they worked out to well under a buck per bar.

hey Kevin, I just noticed you are from Pittsburgh too. I do not know if you use Dreamfields pasta but the GNC in South Hills Village stocks it!

Yes I buy the reeses cups at Sam's and they don't have the hersheys....I asked at the customer service desk at sams and they are not on their approved list to order. I thought that makes no sense since hersheys makes reeses....dah.

Also I'll have to check out GNC the next time I go to see my primary care Dr. at UPMC over by the Village square.
