Default Nicole...you were right!

So guess what? I hadn't lost any weight in the past week or so...then I decide to go to the Fish House for a fabulous meal and meet some of my fellow low carbers.

That was Thursday night.

It's early Sunday morning, and I'm down 2.5 pounds!!!

I wonder if Karen puts something in her food...

I'm so pleased, because I was getting a wee bit discouraged.

Now I feel more motivated than I have in the past ten days.

Guess I'll have to visit the Fish House more often eh? It really was a great meal

I think someone else mentioned dropping a few after one of our other dinners at the Fish House.

I'm going to fiddle with that spice cake. I think it had too many layers...

I was a fun evening as usual, and great to meet Sam and Citruskiss in person.

That was me!! I seem to always lose 2 lbs within 1-2 days of visiting the Fish House. Now that's a recommendation I was down Friday morning but then I blew the whole shebang on Friday afternoon so I guess we'll never know if this visit had the usual results. DANG, guess we'll just have to have another dinner

Is it even possible to have too many layers?!?!?! I thought it was absolutely perfect, Karen.

Hi Everyone:

Finally, I have the pictures from our fabulous dinner at the Fish House. Thanks everyone for letting me take your pictures. Sorry for taking so long. That gorgeous weather had me working/playing in my garden.

I organized the pics into three groups: people, food, and trees in Stanley Park. As you click on each image on the left hand side thumbnail, it will become the large image.

1. People. (24 images) I hope you don't mind, I took a few years off of all of us using my digital imaging magic. My skintones are improved over previous shots, but I want to get better at that. No, those aren't typos on your names--I added an "h" to store my processed images.

2. Food. (7 images)

3. Stanley Park trees I shot before, during and after sunset just outside the Fish House (Please igonore the KitsBeach label)

Cheers. Ruth

Wow, what wonderful photography! I love the picture of the Fish House with all of the lights.

Ruth - did you enhance my eyes? I'd love if they were that blue but I suspect that they're not

Thanks for the beautiful pictures to help remember the night

Hi Nicole:

I'm glad you liked the pictures. I went back to look at the original shot of you before I did any manipulation of the image and your eyes were really that blue.

Thanks for suggesting the musical chairs. It really gave me a chance to talk to everyone. I hope you didn't mind me directing the process . I hope I didn't offend anyone by being too bossy. The process seemed to work fine for the first move when everyother person moved to the fourth chair on their left. For the second move, I suggested a few moves to get Sam next to Karen, and then other people helpfully chimed in and indicated who they hadn't talked to and then just moved. It seemed to work and we may want to use something similar next time.

By the way, Mischa posted her pictures to the gallery and there are some great shots of the evening.

Have a great day.

Cheers. Ruth

Ruth, The musical chair thing worked out great! I, for one, acknowledge that it probably wouldn't have happened without someone "directing"... so good for you for stepping up!

Hey you guys, I just discovered your thread.
I am so sorry that I missed that evening, looks like it was a lot of fun.
I live in Whistler, so I could easily come next time you have one of those!
Or maybe, you'd like to come to Whistler???
By April, it will be low-season and quite cheaper for hotels and restaurants. Just an idea.

cool about the eyes

As for the musical chairs, I think it went well and we all got a chance to talk with pretty much everybody. I really don't think it disturbed our fellow diners - there wasn't anybody at the table next to us on one side and I think it went fairly smoothly. I'm sure Karen would have piped up if it was disruptive to others

ttfn!
