Monday 8/23/04

Ok--busted my keister in the pool today--came home shakey but that is ok since guess Joan and Dianne do too.

Goal for today was 31 laps.
Long term goal: swim a mile.

Pushed myself and did my 31 laps today =4,650feet.

I am laughing at myself today--decided senility is good for me. I thought I swam 30 laps last week--NOT!!! It was 20 and so today set my goal for 1 more lap. No wonder I came home wiped--I actually did 11 more laps than I did last week.

The senility sure didn't hurt me today but boy am sure feeling it this evening. Thanks for the thumbs up Mischa and Joan!!!


OK--Food for today:

Breakfast-2 mugs coffee and cream and 1 small apple.
Lunch- 2 cups lettuce, 1 small tomato, 6 slices pepperoni-2 ounces blue cheese and 3 T. mayo.
Afternoon snack: 1/4 cup pecans
Dinner: Topping off 1 sausage and pepperoni pizza and 1 lc fudgesicle.
Evening snack: lc ice cream bar.
Water for the day 72 ounces so far.

Night all--Have a great evening and great exercising day tomorrow. Tomorrow is weight lifting for me!!!!

Barely got out of bed this morning after the long swim yesterday and debated no going to the gym---Note--I just debated the idea but I made my self go.

Today was weight lifting day:
all done 12 x 2

Verticle Press: 45 lbs
Pectoral fly: 30 lbs
Shoulder Press: 10 lbs
Lat Pull down: 50 lbs
Abdominal crunch: 60 lbs
Bicep curls: 20 lbs
Tricep Dip: 90 lbs
Thighsolater: 60 lbs
Leg extension: 40 lbs
Leg curl: 40 lbs
Lateral press: 30 lbs
Front Bar lifts: 4 lbs

5 minute warm up on bike: 3.1-3.2 MPH
5 minutes cool down stretches

Hi Mischa--Thanks for the woohoo!! Always makes me feel good!!

OK--food for the day:

Breakfast: 2 mugs coffee and cream-1 slice lc toast with 1 tsp butter and 1 T. peanutbutter.
Lunch: 2 cups salad-3 slices of salami-1 small tomato-2 T. Italian dressing, 1 glass diet gingerale- 1 ice cream bar.
Afternoon snack-1/4 cup pecans
Dinner: 2 fried chicken thighs,3 slices of tomato1/4 cup green beans and 1 tsp butter
Pm Snack: Celery, salad dressing and water
Water: 50 ounces so far

Tomorrow is cardio again. Will probably bike tomorrow.

Default Wednesday: 8/25/04

Made it to the gym--think they had the air conditioner off as it was very hot and humid in there today and I ended up sweating enough for two people.

Met an old friend there this morning that i used to work with at the hospital and he is battling the battle of the bulge the same as I am. So we rode and sweated together and go caught up on old times.

Rode the recumbent bike for 45 Minutes at an average speed of 3.6MPH and at level 1:2.

Thanks for stopping by Mischa!!----Just finished watching George Michaels interview. He may be gay but what a hunk!!!!

Tomorrow is back to lift weights and then plan to swim on Friday again.

Food for today:

Breakfast: 2 mugs coffee and cream-1 EAS shake.
Lunch: 2 cups lettuce, 1 small tomatoe wedges, 8 slices of pepperoni and 2 T. mayo and water
Afternoon snack: 1 LC ice cream bar
Dinner: 1-6 ounce boneless t-bone grilled, 1/2 cup cauliflower-1/2 cup peapods,1 teasp. butter, 2 slices tomato,1 glass diet sprite, dessert: 1 lc ice cream bar.
Water today 84 ounces so far
Pm. Snack?

I don't know if I pushed it a bit too much today or what on the bike but just haven't felt too good all afternoon.

Home again--pooped out again--ready for a nap but need to get lunch here and then off to get Drew from school and shopping.

Today was lifting day: All done 12 x 2 unless otherwise noted.

5 minute warm up on bike -level 2 at 3.5 MPH

This is rediculous--I must be developing a habit or something but I felt guilty for not going to the gym and swimming so went out and swam laps here tonight under the stars! Always think of special friends when I see the stars and beautiful moon like we have tonight.

OK: Swimming: 50 laps x 64 feet=3,200feet total.

Since our friends will be here on Monday--I won't go to the gym so am thinking of swimming another 50 laps tomorrow to make up for the missed day.
