August 16, 2004 Monday Workout

Chest Press............50 pounds.........30 reps

Leg Press Sled........125 pounds........30reps

Bike 2 minutes, keeping rpms. above 70

Seated Row..........65 pounds............30 reps

Seated Leg Curls....65 pounds.........30 reps

Shoulder Press.........30 pounds.......30 reps

Ball squats with 12 pound weights 30 reps

Bike 2 minutes, keeping rpms. abobe 70

Leg Extensions......45 pounds........30 reps

Ab crunch...........35 pounds........30 reps

Hyper-
Extension..........165 pounds.....30 reps

Arm Curls......... 15 pounds.....30 reps

Tricep extension..20 pounds.....30 reps

The reps are 10 at a time, a 10 second rest, but not what I would call a full rest. Brian makes he hold the weights midway, of actually letting them down, then down a bit further, then right back to the exercise.
I feel great about the workout, and the muscles are totally exhausted.

Sounds good Joan, with reps like that you will have some really good muscular endurance shaping up.

Joan--

That guy is really keeping you at it isn't he?? Did you come home shakey again today??

Today was Biking for me--tomorrow is my last session with my gal but Bill and I think that maybe meeting with her once a month to see if I need to do some changing might be in order.

Have a good day--

Hi Joan!! Awesome workout today!

How do you like doing some cardio in the middle of your workouts? Do you think they help? I've only done cardio in the midst of my workouts when I was going to boot camp. We had to do sprints and that wore me out! I was totally exhausted when I got home.

Keep up the great workouts. Wish I had a trainer to motivate me!

You know Aimee, I think Bob getting my a trainer is one of the best investments we could of ever made. I do think getting in some cardio during the weight lifting is awesome, but lord my legs are so tired after its all over.

Thanks sweetie,
Joan

Hi Joan--You do so great!!!!

I hate Cardio!!! Today was my last weight lifting session with Angie till next month but she told me today that I need to up the cardio. YUCK!!! AT LEAST 45 minutes!!!!! So going to bike 30 and swim 30. That ought to do the trick don't you think?????

Hope you have a great day!

Cardio workout...one full hour....45 minutes on elliptical machine, keeping stirides between 110-112 per minute.

15 minutes on bike keeping RPM's about 70 the entire time.

I met a goal I set for myself and that was being able to do one full hour of Cardio, and today I did it.

Dear Joan,

You are making great strides!! pun intended!! I was reading in Atkins for life book today that the old thought on cardio was to get at leas 1/2 hour per day..but now they are saying that we need 1 hour a day to get the benefits of lowering heart disease! You are right on track girl!!

I agree with what you put in my gym log about diet being at least 50 percent of the battle...I have a problem with cakes and and sweets. The longer I'm off of them the easier it is of course. I went to your fitday to see what you were eating..but didn't see anything logged for awhile...I guess with all that cardio you've been doing you don't have time eh??? :-) Keep up the good work!!!
Blessings,
Zippety

August 19, 2004.....Thursday

Chest Press.........55 pounds ......30 reps...up 5#

Leg Press Sled....135 pounds......30 reps....up 5lb

Seated Row.........70 pounds.......30 reps....up 5 lb.

Leg Curls............70 pounds.......30 reps.....up 5 lb.

Shoulder Press...30 pounds........30 reps....same weight

Ball Squats holding 12 pounds weights did 30 reps, then did 10 more reps holding 15 pounds weights. Punishment for talking to Brian's Girlfriend now with this being said, I have to say I felt I had the best form and breathing since I've been doing these, and you all know just how much I hate the Ball squats.

Leg Extension........45 pounds.......30 reps....same lbs.

Ab Crunches.........40 pounds.......30 reps....up 5 lb.

Hyper Extension....165 pounds......30 reps....same weight

Arm Curls.............15 pounds......30 reps...same weight

Tricep extension.....20 pounds.....30 reps....same weight

Okay the only other thing that Brian did today, and he was mad at himself that he didn't do this before, but was taking my measurements. Which the measurements today, were exactly the same as the ones I took on Saturday.
