Monday August 9, 2004

5 minute warm-up on ellipticial machine

Chest Press.......45 pounds 30 reps

Leg Press.........115 pounds 30 reps

Seated Row..... 60 pounds 30 reps

Bike 2 minutes holding over 70 rpm's level 9

Seated
Leg Curls.......55 pounds 30 reps

Shoulder
Press............ 30 pounds 30 reps

Ball Squats with 12 pound weight in each hand 30 reps

Elliptical machine 2 minutes holding over 100 strides per minute.

Leg
Extensions........45 pounds 30 reps

Ab machine......10 pounds 30 reps

Hyper
Extension.........150 pounds 30 reps

Bike for 2 minutes holding above 70 rpm's

Now with the 30 reps, I did get a 30 second rest between each 10 reps, trust me, I think that make it even harder. When I would get to #6 Brian would make me hold the weights midway, for a 10 second count, I had no clue 10 seconds were that long. I am totally shakey right now, those legs of mine fell as if they belong to someone else

I did feel powerful, of course that didn't last long when I found how how Brian was changing the workout routine

I still love doing the weight, and tomorrow will be Cardio.

Joan--Wow--what a work out--Think I am glad to have Angie instead of your trainer. I would probably keel over on the spot with all that weight. LOL!!

Have a great day. I am headed to the pool!

Mischa,
I think being 'gummed to death'' would of been easier.

Great to see that your trainer is changing things up. It's exciting to see how strong you're getting. Keep up the great work.

Have a good one!

August 10, 2004.....Tuesday

45 minutes on the elliptical machine, keeping the strides at 108-110 strides a minute.

10 minutes on stationary bike keeping the rpm's above 70.

The front of my thighs are very sore this morning, and I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to hold out on the elliptical or the bike, but today I amazed myself by doing an extra 5 minutes for my Cardio this morning. last week I was doing 50 minutes, today, 55 minutes.

Feeling good about this.

Joan! I just want to tell you I read your gym log and am amazed at how well you are doing. You give me inspiration to start weight training and give up some of my cardio! You will not get osteoperosis if you keep up this regime!
You go girl!!!!

August 11, 2004 Wednesday

45 minutes on elliptical machine doing between 108-112 strides per minute. Burned 849 calories.

I only did 45 minutes of Cardio this morning and it was all on the elliptical, so I'm feeling good about this.

Tomorrow (Thursday) will be weights, Gosh, hope my thighs are less sore by tomorrow morning.

45 on the elliptical is good. I kept mine at 20 minutes Monday, but really fast, decent resistance the whole time. (150-180 strides per minute, intervals of 5-8 on the resistance). I thnk I liked the shorter one, and might do that again today instead of the full 35 I had been doing.

Oh and you know, a good rubbing can help with those thighs, and if you get Bob to do it, if he gets a little carried away, all the better
