Hey Joan--

Thanks for the encouragement--I see that you get a 30 second break--my gal must be starting me really slow--I get a full minute and think I am wasting my time just sitting there. Are you what they call--previews of coming attractions?

Hi Joan--

You really are doing good to go that long on the elliptical. Angie-the gal that is my trainer said that doing that is much harder than doing the treadmill. Course you have done the treadmill for quite some time haven't you? Imagine you were ready for something more challenging.

I am back to the weights tomorrow at 11:00am. May have to decrease the weights. LOL!!!

Have a great night!

You are so lucky to have someone stretch you. I hardly ever stretch, if I do, it's only for a couple of minutes. I keep telling myself I need to go to yoga just so I know I'll have to stretch, but I just can't motivate myself to go.

Looks like you have a great workout lined up for today.

Wow Joan--

After looking at all the things you are doing at your gym makes me feel like a wimp! Looks like I have a long way to go but guess I will just try to enjoy the journey rather than pushing myself to get to the destination. I see you are enjoying the journey too--probably more so cause you have a cute guy. Angie is cute too--but girls aren't my type-LOL!!

I really am liking what we are doing. I did this back in 1995 before I had surgery and after I ended up in some trouble physically never went back. I should have--that would have probably helped me avoid some of the weight I gained after I quit smoking.

I looked through the log section and see there are really quite a few doing this. Think that is great.

Keep up the fantastic work--I need to go back to my log and put my weight and measurements in it--forgot to do that.

Have a fantastic day--In my journal you said that you were going to get sore earlier than me--but you will probably get over the soreness quicker too. Lucky Duck!!

Thanks for stopping by Joan. I went to Walmart to get the L-glutamine and they didn't have it. So went to the health food store and got the 1 lb. can--$38.95. Think I will see if I can find it cheaper on the internet after while. Is that about what you pay for it??

Have a great evening!!

Alice, the last powdered L-glutimine that I got from the healt food store was that price, but it was a big container. It is over a pound size.

Okay got in my 50 minutes of Cardio this morning, and I feel wonderful, legs a bit tired and shakey, but hey I'm good with that. Did 40 minutes on the Ellipticial machine, burned 300 calories, did 15 minutes on the bike and burned another 45 calories. Will be taking Saturday and Sunday off, and weights awaite me on Monday.

Joan--The glutamine worked wonders for me. I think it is worth its weight in gold because I expected to be really stiff and sore this morning but actually am feeling better than last night.

You are awesome with that elliptical machine. Now tell me--How do you judge how many calories burned for doing the weight lifting for 50 minutes? I just wonder if there is a formula for average Calories burned for that?

Have a wonderful day and a great weekend!

Way to go Mischa. I did a total of 50 minutes of cardio and only burned 345 calories, but I ain't complaining.

I put my weight in the treadmill program and this is what it told me. Fitday is telling me way less too..however I think they calculate for a person 150 pounds..the more you weigh ..the more you burn

Hi Joan--Thanks for the weight lifting info from Brian. I guess that really would be difficul to calculate wouldn't it?

I found the glutamine a bit cheaper on the internet but by the time you add on shippin you only save a couple of $--so the convenience of getting it locally is worth all the fuss and bother. If I do find it a lot cheaper--will let you know.

Hi Joan--

Thanks for the boost to my morale--still a bit wobbly on the idea of staying at it but I am determined to keep at it and remaining low carb.

You asked about Bill---Well- he went to the complex yesterday
after he got home from work. Sometimes it is tiring that I have to keep after him to do what he should be doing for his own health. He is the reverse of Bob in some ways. Bob gets to the hospital--Bill could be in the throws of a heart attack and he would be telling me--lets wait till tomorrow and see how I feel--Well--possibly DEAD--thats all. I intend to keep after him though.

Hope you and Bob have a great evening. Talk again soon!!
