Yep, I agree with the all of the above choice -- There needs to be a choice of "other" !
If I had to pick one it would probably be pasta. We ate it at least once if not twice (or three times) a week in some form or another. If I was home for lunch I would boil up some noodles and eat them with butter spray and parm cheese. The thought of it now is so bleech!

I definitely owe at least half of my weight to soda pop and fruit juice. I drank it constantly. And it never filled me up either .

I also need the "all of the above" option! All those items on the list were part of my day. We had pasta a couple nights a week, rice & potatoes were always the side dish and the veggies were almost non-existent. "Quick" stops for a taco, burger or breakfast sandwick & alway 1 but some times 2 large sweet teas. And I say "quick" because for some reason I never thought it would get to me - it was quick - I was in the car running errands - always on the go - but it certainly did get to me!!

Hi

Lack of focus on my diet led me to become overweight. I said candy, cuz I think potato chips and Hallowe'en candy did me in on a regular basis... oh! and Valentine's chocolates, oh, and Easter chocs, too!

Pizza and potato chips. Those are food groups, right?

For me my downfall was and still is to some extent - wine ;~(

I gave up the regular beer and mixed drinks almost a year ago and don't miss them but I'm sure if I gave up my wine I'd lose the last few #.

Have a good day, Julie

Ditto. I was a Pepsi fiend. Drank it instead of water or anything else for that matter. I think my blood was carbonated due to the amount of Pepsi I drank.

The two fruit danish I would have each morning, the whole tub of B&J 'Half-Baked' ice cream sometimes a couple of times a week, the Toll-house cookie dough before bed, the 'therapeutic' chocolate bar I would have after lunch each day.
Hmm-m, the half of a DiGiorno pizza at one sitting, the 4 or 5 beers I would have each night (been sober for over 2 years now!!) .
Even the most innocuous things like the oatmeal for breakfast and pasta at dinner contributed. I would be hungry so quickly after eating these things I'd be back, belly up to the table soon.

Another total carb addict here! Looking back, it's no wonder I was gaining weight quicker than jogging up a hill! I never could figure out why I gained weight when I didnt think I ate that much. Here is what a daily menu looked like for me.

Breakfast: Bowl of sugared cereal
Snack: 2 cookies
Lunch: a slice of Pizza, or turkey sandwhich
Snack: Popcicle(s) 2 or 3
Dinner: meat, starchy veg, bread
Snack: Twinkie
Several vanilla cokes a day. Very little if any water.

My Gosh, looking at that in writing I'm suprised I'm not dead!

Breakfast - multiple servings of cereal, either boxed or oatmeal, cornmeal, cream of wheat, etc., WITH sugar and sweetened soy milk
Snack - Jumbo Muffin
Lunch - possibly a sandwich - big slices of home made bread
Supper - pasta, something with rice, something breaded, starchy veg (corn, peas, potatoes). sometimes sub, KFC, pizza

Beverages - tea, coffee, very little water

Now that I put it down in words - it was deplorable - and here I thought I was eating healthy. No wonder I was dragging myself around with no energy.

All of the above would have been a better option for me but I chose cake/pastry. I used to have a couple of donuts and a coffee every day for breakfast. I had a major sweet tooth which has virtually gone away! Thank goodness for lc!

Ben and Jerry's, chocolate milk, and waffles and syrup certainly played a big part.

How Ironic that my favorite Ben & Jerry's flavor was CHUNKY MONKEY, and I could eat one every evening for dessert, even though it contains 1200 calories.
