Yes, Pam, the 21st is a Monday. How cool if you and Linda can make it!

I suspect we may be too many for Memphis Blues. My experience at the Commercial Drive location is that it isn't conducive to larger groups. We are now somewhere between 9 and 13 people... any other ideas? I would suggest Rugby Grill again but we may have patio-table issues again. I'm thinking since it's a Monday night, it might be easier? Oh, and on Monday's, they have lobster (tails?) for $0.99 each! PS They are advertising that they are Atkins-friendly now. http://www.rugbybeachclub.com If you check out the "tabs", you can see their menu. If we decide to go there, I'll insist that we get the patio (mind you, that's what I did the last time! LOL)

Sorry folks, once again I'm drawing a blank except for Caffe Moka, 350 Nanaimo St., mentioned here http://www.welcometobc.ca/vanrestaurants/index2.html under "budget restaurants. Unfortunately they may not be open on Mondays. Has anyone else ever been there? They specialize in game but have a variety of meats. Also in their favour, they were also one of the sponsors of an SPCA benefit evening last may http://www.spca.bc.ca/media/EatForP...2003_Poster.pdf .

I'm also kinda confused about this evening near the airport. I can't even find the thread any more. Did I imagine it? HELP!!!

Hi Anny,

Caffe Moka is in my 'hood. If we are a group of 12 or more we could easily overwhelm this place - it's very small. I haven't been there for years so I can't really make a comment on their menu.

Nope, you didn't imagine the Richmond thread, this is it

Thanks, Ruth--I didn't realize Richmond had annexed parts of the Drive and West Broadway. Linda (and some of us others) really MIGHT get lost now.

You're right about Moka being small. For some reason I thought they had kind of a banquet room, though. OK, so now i've got nothing!

Pam, you're right - I did misread your sentence! Talk about missing a crucial word.. ! Apologies to Allikins, whose real name I thought was Linda!

I really wasn't too fond of the Rugby Grill so I'm sticking with Memphis.

But...the Fish House is always an option.

I could plan a nice menu for us then I wouldn't have to bring dessert!

Well, the Fish House would definitely work for me! And it would be great for Linda to see it and Stanley Park. That would have been one of the stops on the tour, regardless!

Is anyone swinging past Cambie and Broadway on their way to the Fish House? Because if I can get a ride I can come. It's just a weeeeeeee bit to far to cab it.
But don't anyone go out of their way. I'll make it next time for sure.
