I don't care for them as a snack either tilt, but they are great as a breading for chicken etc. I run them through my processor add herbs and spice, their great.

If you like chips try this. Slice celeryroot into thin slices, let air dry for about an hour. Deep fry and season

Hi Everyone!

Just reading through this thread & noticed your looking for people in the Hamilton area. I live in Burlington, but I work in Hamilton. Are you talking about the area near Hutches for the get together? Maybe Baranga's On The Beach? Or are you talking about the beach strip with the new concession stands?

A get-together sounds like a lot of fun!

OK, looks like we have enough people from the Hamilton/Burlington/St.Catharines area to form our own sports team

How about a get-together soon? The sun's coming out (well, sometimes) and it would be fun to maybe meet at a park or someplace like that.

I am lousy at organising anything (hey, I am a guy, what can I say), so if someone would take charge and do this it would be great.

Any victims? Oops, did I say that out loud? I meant *ahem* volunteers?

Cheers

marankath The part of the beach with the consessions, I don't think the bus goes there for the none drivers. But I'm sure we can figure something out.
I can plan all this, not a problem... I have afuneral to attend today. But I can start on Monday, planning this get together.
Why don't I find out who drives 1st...that would be a start

It would be nice to find a place for the non drivers. I do not drive myself and getting by bus (HSR) is my only option. I would love to come to a get together if I can easily make it there by public transit.

Hi again Ham/Bur/St. Cat's buddies!

Sorry I haven't been on for a while, computer issues but they're all fixed now.

A summer get together would be great! Count me (and DH) in!

Gage park sounds like a great idea, it shouldn't be too hard for the out of towners to find and for those of you who are bringing your little ones, theres a play park. How about Saturday June 5th? If it goes well, we can do it again at the end of summer. Thats pretty much the earliest that I can do it.
