Good afternoon, Protein Power Pals ---

It is is gorgeous here in Central Ohio and I've had some fun roaming the neighborhood and talking to friends I haven't seen since the last time we had sunny weather. I am also working on a few recipes - carb counting is a bit frustrating at first, but I think I am getting a handle on it. Fitday is enough to make me tear my hair out... but I'm leaning!

BW - I hope you get some play time in soon! Take a joy ride for me. I too can vouche for gorging on a certain food to get the craving out of your system. I get nauseated when I even think of certain foods now.

Renee - your menu looks good, and you are a trooper to walk after hurting yourself! I am always glad to find another 12-stepper too!

Carbgirl - definitely check out Fitday. It can be confusing but there is an awesome "help" thread in the newbie question forum.

Robin - I have a ton of people in my life just like that. It is hard because they don't read the books or follow the directions and then the blame LCing. Very frusterating. My DH and I are getting ready to being PP together but I have stressed, stressed, stressed personal responsibility; I cannot be there to count carbs for him all of the time.

Smooth - off to read your journal. I love to hike! Renee's pics make me envious of her trails.

Acipenser - good afternoon!

Dawn - I hope you are feeling back to normal soon... I know all about procrastinating with homework... I do OA step work through writing and I put most of it off until this morning, three short hours before meeting with my sponsor.

Elaine - I am not sure of your situation but I hope it improves soon. {{{}}}

Ellie - I know those mornings well. I love your song choice for today too! And thank you for reminding me of yoga; I cannot wait to be back at university and getting my free classes!

Katlyn - how frusterating! Are you seeing a doc about the thyroid? As for syrups, I am not in your area but I have had good luck doing semi-large orders directly from DaVinci. I like the more exotic flavors that are to get in the stores.

Have a lovely protein-packed day, pals!

Paris

also...
ice skating was really fun. i have not been since i moved to to OR. i was shakey for the first circle, then it all came back to me. the girls did okay. jamie, she is 7, was really funny. she did okay as long as she was hangning on to me, but as soon as i was not in grabbable distance she had NO balance!! tracey, she is 10, did good after a couple of go arounds.

paris-- fitday takes a while to get used to!! once you do though i think it is a great tool to use.

What an icky day It rained all day, unusal for here. I am debating on going to the gym or trying one of my new tapes. My throat is hurting pretty bad and I have alot of drainage so I am thinking that a cardio workout would not be worth the effort. I think I will try Pilates instead.

Kat, (and anyone else new who was wondering) I am having a total hysterectomy on March 25th. I have a large uterine fibroid and it's too big to take out by laproscopy.That's the surgery.
