umm...and the negative side:

Possible Side Effects

Side effects are minimal. However, allergic reactions to oregano oil and even a sensitivity to plants in the Labiatae family (thyme, basil, hyssop, marjoram, mint, sage) can occur. Stop taking oregano oil (and any form of oregano) if signs or symptoms of an allergic reaction develop (these may include facial swelling, skin rash, itching, nausea, vomiting, and other symptoms).

Cautions

Talk to your doctor before taking oregano oil internally if you suffer from iron-deficiency anemia; the oregano might make your condition worse by inhibiting the absorption of iron from foods and supplements.

i guess im one of the lucky ones who isnt allergic, this is the only thing i have changed about my low carbing in the last month, so its either i persisted long enough the good fairy said okay okay or this has helped. i searched it online too, and it amazes me what it works for. anyway my mother learned about this at curves from their nutritionist, so i figured i would try it and have had good luck, hope it helps some

It looks like the oil you have been taking contains flax seed oil also? That has long been known to assist weight loss on LC.

2brickie_ do you have to take your oregano oil with meals? Mine says take twice with meals and I'm wondering if it's the right kind.

Thanks
Tasha

Birddog,
That's exactly the same one I got at the same price made by Solar Ray. I haven't noticed being "wound up", but I sure haven't been lacking energy today!

I read quite a bit about it last night on the net, and bought some today. I got the liquid extract form as it is labeled as "wild" which is what you want. I was fairly expensive, but it has 216 doses in the bottle. My DH is using it with me, not only to lose lbs, but for his roseacia. We'll see of works for either

I bought some last night. Haven't taken any today, as I forgot before I left the house. I think my slow weightloss and energy issues are due to yeast, since I eat alot of dairy. I'll report back my experiences.

This is soooo ironic that I finally noticed this topic today. RIGHT WHEN I AM CRAVING OREGANO!!!!!

My favorite dish was always any form of pasta most sketti..lol with LOADS and when I say LOADS I mean it of Oregano.

Maybe this oil of oregano will help those cravings and yet help out too???!!!

well i really hope it helps you all as well as it has me, i am down to 124 today. 1 more pound to go and then im worried i wont want to quit losing. oh well i know that 123 is the best weight for me, i was always under 100 pounds in school and too thin, 123 is a perfect size 6 or 4 depending on what im buying and that is perfect for me. i weighed 123 for along time and was very very happy so this oregano oil is going to get me to that point again. anyways i guess 124 isnt bad either if i cant lose the last pound but im not giving up. i have never felt this good in my life, i dont take blood pressure meds anymore, my cholestrol level is excellent, and i am having great fun with my kids and husband. so i really hope this helps you all as much as it has me.

Congrats Brickie!

Those who are trying it let us know if it works. I'd be interested in hearing what the moderators have to say about this.
