What a great recipe. This is the first recipe I found I wanted to try, and what a success. I did add some worcestershire for addl kick and because I had no Atkins ketchup, I quickly threw together the Southbeach low carb recipe and it just about blew me away. Ketchup never tasted so good. Didn't know what to do with the leftover ketchup, so I modified a recipe for Cajun marinated pork chops and it too was delicious.

Many thanks

I know I posted this for Ribs.. but i'm really in the mood for BBQ Beef.. you know the shredded kind...
But i'm not sure where to get shredded beef like that.. does anyone know how to make this?

Same sauce.. but what kind of beef?? Does it come shredded? or does it just end up that way after it's cooked?

Excuse me while I wipe the drool off my keyboard....I made these a while back and I'm making them again this weekend. Ribs are on sale at HEB right now -what a coincidence! Ummm, I made the faux tatoes, too, and adding the coleslaw sounds heavenly....

I may try this this weekend. I don't like the brown sugar Sugar Twin. I may try it with Smuckers sugar free maple syrup instead. Has anyone done this? I'm gonna try it anyway.

For shredded beef, I'd try a chuck roast or some cut of meat that needs braising or stewing. Just put that in your crockpot, pour sauce on and cook on low until you can shred it with two forks. Because the meat is fatty, your sauce will be greasy so you can do one of two things: Put your crockpot container in the freezer to solidify the fat and spoon it off OR sop it up with paper towels. In the same way, you can cook a pork shoulder and get 'pulled pork'. I've got this recipe down and will try it real soon (after vacation).

We love this! My husband liked the leftovers even more, and suggested that we always make them the day before we want to eat them! And we do!
Thanks!

I think I am going to try this recipe this weekend. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't have any celery seed-- will celery leaf work for flavor?

Maybe so they wouldn't be so greasy?

I hope the leaves give off enough flavor.
