Possible, but may slow down things a bit (more database queries). And some may prefer the otherway around, using the forum stats. I wouldn't worry about it much

Oh dear - call me obsessive (I am actually) but it's incorrect! LOL . And when I look at other people's photos I'll be wondering whether the caption is near the real figure or not.

Why not just leave off the captions? After all, they only appear on the profile page, where the start and current weight are posted anyway.

That would be easy to do What do other members think? Remove weight caption from profile page under photos? Leave them there?

Weight captions are ok by me.... but I think the weights specified when you loaded the photos should be used. Or leave them off, it makes no difference.

Is there anyway to remove a photo? I didn't correctly post my Before photo, then when I did, the misposted one is still there. It's such an awful photo I see no need to have it there twice. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes, there's a delete button, where the original poster can delete their photos. Simply delete and reupload the right photos.

Ok, now I have tried to upload some pix (small jpgs) several times. But the same message keeps appearing:

": Unable to find this user. Please check spelling."

I am already logged in there, it even greets me with my name, FGS. I have tried in different categories, to no avail. I even logged out (from the gallery section) and in again. But no.

Why doesn't it work?

Give it another try gilibel, for some reason, your files got "stuck". When you click submit, the next prompt is like a "preview", and you need to submit the form again. This is just guessing on my part.

Are you uploading the pictures from your C: drive or trying to link to pictures posted at the Village Photos website?? Our gallery uses PhotoPost, but you have to upload directly from your computer to our database. You can't link from an outside web source.

Perhaps that's the problem??

Hi Doreen.
I'm uploading from my C: drive (or E: actually - I have several partitions, but I've tried to do it from C: too, just in case.) Small jpg pics (around 5-15 KB each.) So it should work, but it doesn't.

Not that I'm a computer expert or anything .. but ... maybe there's something in the file path or name that's causing it to point back to the Village Photos site??? Maybe try renaming the file on your hard drive???

But Doreen, "Village Photos site" doesn't come in to the equation here. That's just the place where I stored the snapshot for you guys to see the message I got.

No Village Photo site involved in my pics to upload whatsoever. They are photos made by me, with common names such as "before.jpg" etc.

I had weirdness occur in the gallery if I didn't specifically login at the gallery; being logged in to the forum didn't seem to be good enough for it.

Have you logged in at the gallery?

Sorry it was confusing when your previous message indicated you got this error message when you tried to upload your pic(s) here at our site http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003...489/unable_.jpg

I'm out of ideas though; hope it gets sorted out

Thanks Carol, but yes, as I stated in my first post, I tried that too (separately log out and then log in to the gallery) to no avail.

Oh well... I give up. This gallery doesn't like Swedes. That must be it.
