Maybe I'm being thick, but I don't understand why an increased demand for eggs would lead to increased prices - especially if there doesn't seem to be a problem with producing them at the moment? [Although it seems it's predicted that there will be a supply problem]. If egg producers are selling more eggs, then surely they're making more money, so have no need to put the prices up? It doesn't make sense to me.

I saw this article too. I can't say that I've noticed any less eggs in the shops. It sounds like another way to Atkins bash!! The egg producers will use any excuse they can to put up prices!!

sounds daft but I dont eat any more eggs than I used to than pre-atkins, I never have more than 2 a day (if I have any at all) so I bet Im not the only atkins dieter that stuffs their face with eggs all day!! I wish people would read the book before they slam the diet, and learn what we can actually eat! (again we are going round in circles, people will always be ignorant or gulible to belive what they read in the papers!!
