I see The Mail also made reference to an article in Closer magazine in which Amanda Redman says she lost one and-a-half stone over 8 weeks on Atkins when she was 19, but that her health suffered as a result. She says her periods stopped for about a year and that her doctor put it down to, yes you've guessed it The Atkins Diet!!

It's taken her long enough to come out with that one, she's 41 now. Maybe she's going through a career slump

I have been soo ooooo evangelical about Atkins these past 6 weeks. I have converted at least 4 people in work (am still working on one on the bus), I tell anyone who listens how much healthier I am nowadays. Do you think I will be jailed for propoganda spreading?

Funny you should say that. On my way home tonight I could see Mother's Pride Bread Vans and a Hovis flour lorry. They were looking at me all suspicious like. Question. How come Slimfast doesn't get as much press coverage. Methinks they doth protest too much. Something is hitting a raw nerve and they are feart. Their whole worlds would be smashed if this took off majorly. I cannot believe how one-sided the debate actually is. Yesterday (end of week 5) I got some beautiful comments about my face/neck/upper body yesterday. Not just the run of the mill stuff but real, noticed opinions. The next person to say the stock phrase "It's not balanced" will be not balanced.

Though i have to say mine have also changed on Akins, no longer 9/10 days wondering if i'm gonna bleed to death, they are now 5/6 days and normal i think, i was such a heavy bleeder before i'm not really sure what normal is. Anyway i'm nearly happy with them, would be totally happy if i didn't have them at all lol
