Rip kale into bite sized pieces. Thoroughly toss olive oil and salt with the kale, making sure to coat every piece. Place on cookie sheet (do not crowd or else they will steam and not get crispy. I ended up using 2 large cookie sheets per bunch of kale.). Bake 350 for 15 mins.

Yes, my daughter (she is also 3 yr old) LOVES the seaweed snacks. She liked the kale chips too and even my 5 yr old son ate them willingly (he's picky about his veggies)! Good to know about the Costco snacks. I will look for them next time I go.

I dunno how it would work with swiss chard. I don't see why not! Try it and let us know!

So, I haven't lost very much weight in the past 2 weeks but I feel my body shape changing! I dunno about anyone else, but sometimes I can actually feel the fat leaving my body. LOL. It sounds so silly to say but it's almost like when you are pregnant and you get those fluttery butterfly feelings in your tummy, but this is a fluttery feeling in my thigh or arm or butt. It only lasts a few seconds. I only notice this when I'm dieting (and also when I'm gaining, lol) so I don't know what else it could be. I can also feel when I'm ovulating too (ovulation pain, more like it). Maybe I'm just extra sensitive, lol.

So anyway, here are my stats:
Waist 40" now 38" (-2)
Arms 15" now 15" (0)
Thigh 30" now 30" (0)
Bust 42" now 41.5" (-0.5)
Hips 50.5" now 47" (-3.5) !!!!!!

OMG! I can't believe I dropped so much from my hips! I definitely have noticed my pants fitting looser these days. This is so encouraging especially considering I only lost 0.14 pounds last week. Woo hoo! For a grand total of 6 inches lost! With only a 6 lb weight loss to show for it (stupid scale!).

Thanks for the recipe post. I swear you and I are diet twins! LOL I can feel my body changing too, and my weightloss has been slow, but the measurements have been the biggest fastest motivator. I do them about every 2-3 weeks. This week I am up exactly 0.14lbs so I found what you lost! lol

It is funny but the next day I dropped to my lowest weight of 218 so even though technically I "gained" I am actually "losing." How can that be? LOL

I can feel when I ovulate as well. I am also very sensitive to any hormonal shift and I either get an outbreak of acne, or sadly I get depressed but I have had it happen enough in my life that I am aware of it just being my hormones shifting and use that rationalize and try to get me out of my funk. It was really bad years ago when I was on birth control and I will never mess with my hormones like that again!

LOL, too funny! I'm sure that weight loss will catch up with all those inches you lost. You hit a new low! Congrats!

Yes, the best motivator is the inches and how my clothes fit. When I gained all this weight, I was/am living in stretchy pants so it's harder to see if my clothes are looser. I did NOT want to acknowledge my actual size at my biggest, so I've been buying clothes with S, M, and L labels (XL for me). But it must be pretty significant if my sweat pants are falling off of me! I have a pair of Pajama Jeans that I LOVE but can't fit into just yet. I'm hoping around 220 I can start trying them on again.

Hey hey everyone I've been flirting with the same .6 lbs so no change yet here- trained yesterday at the gym.
Today's meals:
Rm: eggs, protein shake, a little ice cream and a little rice
Snack: cheese stick
Dinner: diet lemonade (special occasion), grilled chicken with egg, mushrooms, tomato, etc. and salad
Weight this morning was 241.0 so up .2 from my lowest a few days ago. Hoping to have a drop possibly below 240 tomorrow or in the next few days

Ooh I also want to comment about feeling the fat fall off- yes yes and yes. I've been losing 2-3 lbs a week and have been going for almost 2 months and I've really noticed most especially the fat on y body loosening up. I can feel the muscles underneath my fat a lot easier and can touch the wall of my abs which I wasn't able to do. I am really loving it- it's a strange feeling though!
Wanted to share a cool moment today- I had my 1 year old baby with me this morning and for fun I stepped on the scale with her in my arms. Our weight together was my start wright- that really put things in perspective- I've lost her weight and it was cool to have a visual!

That's awesome, melodyrose!
I think I could do that with a small cat right now, lololol. Unfortunately, all my cats are well over 6 lbs!
I'm back down to my new (old) low: 232.4. Haven't seen that number in at least 2 weeks.

Today' RM:
RM B - fried eggs, potatoes fried with coconut oil, marshmallow popcorn (saw the recipe on Pinterest; delish!), a small handful of chocolate chips (just to get my chocolate fix for the day), 1 cup black tea with cream & stevia
Yesterday's CMs:
L - 1 glass of kombucha
D - early dinner: parm/mayo chicken breast, kale chips, hot herbal tea

Note on the kale chips: I've stored them in an airtight container and so far so good. They aren't as crispy but crispy enough and not soggy.

what is kombucha ?

I made swiss chard chips , I love them , so much better than the taste of kale for me , any other veggie chop suggestions ?
I am not sure if it has to do with yesterday , but my son is down 4 pounds since we last weighed him , he is feeling encouraged to keep going , but I need to get other vegetables into him or I will have to add fruit back in shortly

Kombucha is a fermented green or black tea drink. You need to start with a little leftover kombucha and the kombucha "mushroom" (a pancake like thing that is formed at the top of the kombucha as it ferments). I bring some water and sugar to a boil, add the tea bags and let it steep until it's room temp. Then I add the leftover kombucha liquid and mushroom. The yeasts and bacteria eat the sugar and you are left with a tangy drink full of B vitamins and enzymes. Great for digestion. Supposed to be good for weight loss too. I let mine ferment for at least 2 weeks (usually longer). By about 4 weeks, almost all the sugar is gone. I only use a little bit (maybe 2 ounces) since it's so strong (very vinegary) and mix it with sparkling water and a squeeze of liquid stevia. I figure a glass full with the sparkling water and kombucha mix is about 3 carbs (maybe less).
You can buy kombucha on Ebay for cheap. I love it. I crave it too. It's great after a meal, or if you have some indigestion.

Good to know about the swiss chard chips. Can't wait to try that too!

hi-
I had a late meeeting and didn't get home until after 7. RM was a cup of tomato soup, cole slaw, and a turkey & cheese sandwich on a whole grain 100 call thin bun with coleslaw, mustard and avocado. Water to drink.

DH added on ice cream. He had his sandwich on a bagel.

Made salmon with pesto spread last night and had a planned leftover piece on a salad for todays CM lunch.

I added you Blenders , congrats on the low , I cannot wait until the scale moves for me , my usual weigh in day is Monday

I notice you use coconut oil , is that paleo related ? does it change the taste of things ? And where does coconut lie in the calp plan ?
