Default green tea

is anyone drinking green tea as a aid for weightloss ? how many
cups and does cream interfere with the effectiveness of the polyphenols? I saw this ad about green tea being an aid to weightloss and I want to include it as one of my daily beverages
but I like cream with my tea sometime and want to know if it's ok.
I've just started the protein power plan.
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi there thriftigi. I moved your post to our Nutrition and Supplements forum since it's about a supplement I have been using green tea extract and taking green tea for 3 months now and I have noticed a marked increase in my body temperature - a sign that my metabolism is rising.

If you scroll down this forum a little ways you'll find a post about Green tea and Zinc and how they can be used to help boost your metabolism and aid in fat loss. (You can also click HERE to go there directly - but you might want to browse through the forum as well).

Adding cream or milk to green tea does effect (negatively) the polyphenols - it basically renders green tea non thermogenic. According to supplementwatch.com you have to drink between 6 and 9 cups of GT to get the thermogenic effect, however simply drinking green tea period is good for you - it's very anti fungal, anti carcinogenic and its a powerful anti oxdiant.

Atop this forum is a stuck thread with information on where to look up supplements - supplementwatch and wholehealthmd are the two main resources and they both have extensive information on Green Tea.

HTH
