Sure. Caloric restriction will cause a weight loss. The bottom line is burn more calories than you take in. BUT at what price? If your main concern is to drop weight, go for it. Let us know how it works for you. If you want to learn how to achieve overall better health, have more energy, lose body fat, increase muscle, along with a whole host of other benefits, then learn more about the Zone by reading one of Dr. Sears' 9 books. IMO, your diet includes a dangerous amount of saturated fat and trans fats and WAAYYY too few vegetables (mushrooms BARELY count) and basically too few carbs overall. I don't see this as being something that could be maintained long term while remaining healthy. Meanwhile, if you choose to continue eating that way, a good multi vitamin is essential as well a calcium supplementation.
