You can really see the difference in the frontal pics! Awesome job!!
What is a fat fast? Another way of saying low carb? (Sorry, I'm a newbie here.)

thanks! I'm really excited about this fat coming off. I've never looked like this.
A fat fast is 75%-90% fat, the rest protein.. but with severely restricted calories, like 1000 a day. It's outlines in the Atkins book. I'm not doing very well at keeping the calories that low though which is probably just as well because I'd probably collapse or something!!
take care,
Meg

Hi Red1!
Workouts: I favour German volume type training - one or two exercises per body part, high repetitions high volume, killer workouts. For example the 10 sets of 10 repetition setup. I usually don't do cardio unless it's HIIT.. I have asthma and I can only breathe for so long before my lungs stop, so I might as well make those 20 seconds count! I sometimes go on hiking crusades where I hike a lot, it hasn't happened recently. For me volume is key though because I work out alone, at home so there is no one to spot me if I want to use extremely heavy weights.. I'm always looking for ways to make the workouts harder without increasing actual weight. eg: 1 leg squats I've put on a LOT of muscle in the last year. Like, all of my previously loose pants are REALLY tight in the butt, some unwearable because I've "built" a butt and some leg muscle.. things always used to sag in the butt because I didn't really have one, it was flat and shapeless. I can't wait to lose more fat so the shape can come out more.
This spring I put a lot of effort into learning to do real pushups and chinups.. it seems to have made a big difference in my upper back and chest. Oh, chinups really made my biceps look good compared to how they were before, too.
During the last month (fast fast) I barely worked out at all.. right now (trying to hang in there with PMS dragging me toward the fridge) I'm hiking in the morning 30 mins, HIIT cardio on the stairs a few time per week, and 2x week doing a circut of 1 leg squats, stiff leg deadlifts, pushups, calves and varied "back stuff" on my ladder, hams are also hit on the ladder. Add in some bellydance specific back bends which work the thighs and some calisthenics for the legs. Just a mish mesh to keep muscle tone and increase flexibility while my energy is down because of caloric deficit.
Have a great weekend!!
Meg

Ok so how far apart were the first two pictures taken? I want to try fat fast but Im unsure what I should be eating can anyone give me a sample menu for a week? Additionally, how long can you safely go on fat fast?
