Question Looking for cream cheese

Can anyone tell me the name of a product I can buy in the supermarket? I've been using fromage blanc for sour cream and fromage frais for cottage cheese. Are these good substitutes?

The leading name is "Philadelphia Cream Cheese" made by Kraft foods. They claim it is sold around the world. There is another name for the type of cheese it is, but I can't remember it. I will post back if it comes to me.

Ricotta, mascarpone and quark are available in Europe in stores. I believe they are 'unripened' cheeses although ricotta is cooked.

I believe that cream cheese is also called Neufchatel sometimes.

Oddly enough, the last time I shopped in WA state in the US of A, both Neufchatel and Philadelphia cream cheese were commonly available, side by side.

I'm pretty sure the original 'light' or lower fat cream cheese type product is the Neufchatel...and they are usually considered interchangeable in recipes.
