i was browsing thru the carblife web site and i was wondering what this means regarding the tortillas
Product Pack Size: 368g Effective Carb Count: 3g
Then when i look at this
Nutritional Information
Per serving: Calories 60
Fat 2g
Sodium 220mg
Carbohydrate 12g
Of which Fibre 9g
Protein 5g
Also some recipes i have looked at seem to be quite high in carbs but are they maybe recipes that are for people that have been doing it for a while and they can now control their carb intake instead of gorging on carbs. Also does anyone know what are meant to be the normal carbs intake for people not on diets?
Though we can't get as half as many LC stuff in the UK than the States we are lucky to have the carb total worked out for us. On UK foods the total carb amount is the total amount.
However in the States they have to take away the fibre from the carb total to get the total carb amount.
So those chips contained 12g of carbs but the fibre content was 9g
which means a total of 3g carb
well done Steve hadn't thought of the difference between the 2 labels
Not sure though on you next question carb.
As it says per serving i would of said it was 3g per wrap but then it does give you the total weight saying carb count 3g so i would take that too mean the whole pack contained 3g carbs.
Frying my brain here, i'll carry on thinking about it
