This is starting to get a little more coverage. The Irish Times last Thursday, then The Daily Mail yesterday, and now this morning I hear it described as "breaking news" on the radio.

Wow, just clicked and read thru the full paper... it comes about as close to flat out saying "you guys (statin defenders) are lying thru your teeth" as one could possibly imagine a paper in a peer-reviewed science journal ever coming.

It's about time the truth about statins and the drug companies' "conspiracy" to push them onto an unsuspecting public became public knowledge. I'm definitely not typically a conspiracy theorist but, in this case, conspiracy seems to be the only term that fits.

There are several utube videos outlining the uselessness of the statins and how they are pushed on us--- the videos are by PhD's, MD's and CO's.

2 weeks ago my husband had his 4th stent done after a pretty serious heart attack. Of course he's on a whole boat load of drugs and one of them is a statin. They've put him on statins every time he's had a stent. He doesn't have high cholesterol. He's never stayed on the drugs. Always gone off after he had his follow up appointment. I think he will stay on the blood thinners until we can get this figured out why his arteries keep clogging up. But he'll probably stop the statins. And yes we follow a pretty restrictive low carb diet. We don't know why this keeps happening. Of course the docs don't either.

Statins are poison.
