Flax seed oil capsules are my lifesaver. You can find them at a health food store. At the GNC in Nashville, they are $7.99 for a 90 day supply.

Good luck. Been there, done that.

I seem to do just fine since I began taking:
1 TBSP Flaxseed oil
1 pkg sachet fiber (mixes with water, tastes like orange)

I take them both every morning.

I do eat alot of veg too, and actually am more regular then BEFORE atkins.

I am still on Induction levels and hope that when the time comes to move to OWL I will get to drop these supplements.

I drink Smooth Move Herbal Tea before bed and when I wake up I have a smooth move. This tea is not for everyone but it works for me and nothing else would.

Good Luck,
Kat

Try a bowl of Atkins Morning Start Cereal.

Banana Nut is my fav.

That failing, use maltitol chocolate. Carefully.

I have found that I MUST have either broccoli or cauliflower with dinner every night, or a lc wrap (if I'm not having a regular meat/veg type dinner). If I don't have one of those items, then the next morning I pay for it.

I've just made it a habit to get the fiber I need from food choices at dinnertime.

Works for me!

Penny

Ok, I'm into day 3 of my new wol eating and I am pretty much the opposite of constipated if you get my drift! I hope this settles down soon. I mean I don't want to go the other direction, just back to normal. The only thing I can think of is I have been doing a almost no meat diet for weeks (with no weight loss) I might add! And so when I would eat meat, I would totally get cramps and then have to hang out near a bathroom for the rest of the day........So, has anyone had this problem and if so, what did you do about it? Thank you!

Hot water with a squeeze of lemon. Drink as hot as you can stand. 1 or 2 cups as needed. If in dire need try benefibre. It completely dissolves in coffee, water etc. and has 0 flavor. It doesn't make that jelly like metamucil does.

I can promise you if you take 3 flax seed oil softgels and 3 coconut oil softgels from the GNC store you will have a bm.
I got the flax and the coconut oil the other day and found out I had to cut back to one coconut oil softgel and one flax seed softgel per day.
I've never really had a problem, the coconut oil has so many benefits and so does the flax oil so I thought I would include the 2 with my vitamins every day.... I'm tellin ya...they sure worked me over, lol!

I don't have this problem on Aktins, however, I don't eat alot of cheese either. I really think that is what does it. The malitol candies will do the trick. Post cereal here in the US makes a 100% bran in a blue box (I tried to find a link and could not) it saved my mom from having to have surgery due to this problem.

good luck...it is miserable!

I use a saltwater flush . You can dissolve 2 tsp of celtic sea salt ( DO NOT use table salt) in 1 quart of warm water. Within 1 hr you will be COMPLETELY unstuck. Its a little hard to get down...tastes like you are chugging chicken broth BUT I've never experienced cramping and I am never afraid to leave the house after a couple of hours.
