Down to 181.6 today. Two pottie trips and some sweating in my garden today can be thanked.

Does anyone else have the WORST night sleep after Carb Nite? I thought it was supposed to help with sleep, but it's horrible for me. Last night I woke up around five times with awful nightmares, and each time it took me forever to get back to sleep. =( And I kept getting into positions that hurt my neck (which isn't unusual).

So this morning I got up, went straight to Amazon, and ordered Memory Foam pillows for me and hubby. That's probably something I should have done years ago.

They say better sleep leads to better weight loss and more energy. Fingers crossed!

I read in the book some sleep badly CN and others say they sleep like a baby. I have had both situations, or a mixed bag. I did have one lu-lu where I didn't sleep all night long, but only the one time. They say the carbs can elevate body temp, so I only sleep with a sheet on me.....and sometimes not even that. Being hot will keep me awake, too.

The scale gave me a .6# loss for a weigh-in of 181.0 today. Going to get out and do some light gardening today.

Morning ladies. I'm up off sodium today. Weighed 182.4. I think the scale is supposed to go the other direction, isn't it? LOL Oh well, it's only Tuesday and CN isn't until Sat.

Hello, everyone! Thanks for the welcome, Chrissie! (I'm not the retired teacher - that's Peggy. I'm a software developer. =) )

Still going strong on ULC. I've discovered Sugar Free Jello and could see this becoming an addiction. I know that keeps my sweet tooth going, but the whole thing about trying to get rid of the taste for sweets seems kinda moot when one day a week I can eat all the carbs I want.

When I got home from work yesterday, I noticed that my jeans seemed about an inch longer than usual. Then I realized that was because they were loose and slipping down my hips a little bit. Not anything anyone but me would notice, but I did notice, and it made me happy!

Back in July, I'd started a 12-level physical-therapyish workout system to strengthen my core and help with lower back issues. I'd worked my way up to the 3rd level, and then just fell off the past 2 weeks. Not sure why. Maybe with stopping drinking and starting CN - plus I started a few classes right around then, which truly aren't tons of work but are kinda mentally something I don't wanna be doing ... it was just too much. Tonight, though, I got back on the workout-wagon.

So things are chugging right along here!

Hope you are all having a wonderful night!

Welcome Mel!
I really try to steer clear of the sugar free treats as they only feed the sugar monster in me and make me want more! They also stall my losses, and make me eat more in general.

Hi Chrissie.
My CN was just okay. We went to Red Lobster for the shrimp feast, it was so busy, service took forever, and the food was terribly salty. I so look forward to CN and then when it disappoints, NO GOOD!

Peggy, I can feel those 170's on the horizon for you.

Shout out to Paulette! Missing you lady.

I have not weighed since CN, no idea what I gained from Saturday. I plan on weighing on Saturday again. Decided to follow protocol for a change and only weigh on CN. I still had 5.5 of the 13.5 I gain from our 8 day vacation, so I sure hope it is off within the month. We shall see.

Let's see, I am 53, (54 in a couple weeks), married to Les, have 3 Son's, Timothy who is 25, Matthew who is 22, and baby is Jacob at 19. I work for an auto insurance company as a Subrogation Specialist, (been in the industry since 1987) and have one four legged baby, (Tucker) who was 1 on June 18th. He is a long haired black and tan dachshund, and is a sweet boy.

Over and out for now.
Rox

Cool good morning ladies!

i had a nice 3 lb WHOOSH this morning

PEGGY......bon jour!! okay....YOU are the one i have something in common with (retired teacher for you, classroom aide for me )
i hope your sodium bounce rolls away this morning!

ROX........awe.....ALL boys; 2-legged & 4-legged
since i raised my one & only boy on my own for the most part, i am VERY partial to boys ....told my son i want nothing but grandsons
yeah....i hate a disappointing CN also
i turned 54 in march, so we are almost the same age.....OLD .....just kidding.

MEL......a software developer? that is SO cool! i can do e-mail & internet.....that is the extent of my technological skills....sad but true
they say you should only try/give up one thing at a time so it is not too overwhelming, so it could very well be too much at once
i myself am not a fan of working out OR jello........give me my walks in the park , and i will save the treats for my CN's

shout outs to PAULETTE & SUZI

have a happy happy hump day ladies!!!

Hi, Forever LC. Welcome aboard the CNS train! It's working for me when all else (that worked before) no longer would work. I'm down 18-19# since April. I'm a notoriously slow loser though. Others have fared much better on this than I.

I got most of my mid-week sodium bounce off and weighed 181.0 today. Now to ♫♫ get on down, get on down the road ♫♫ as they say in the musical hit "OZ".

WTG Chrissie. I'm down to 180.0 today. I was hoping to make a "new decade" on the scale, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Maybe next week.

Bounced up 1.4# for some reason. Probably sodium off bacon and cheese at lunch. Oh well, no new scale decade this week for me.
