I wonder why one would want more ketones - unless they are planning to be very active or something....?

BODY BUILDERS I THINK??? Maybe it is me, but the pods are sometimes confusing. I knwo that guy wanted to lose more fats so wouldn't the increase of ketones be the result of the increased fats burning.. hence the increased metabolism to do that??? That is the way I took it any way. whattya think?

MCT oil is made essentially from coconut oil and it doesn't take long to be used by the liver to produce ketones. Some people use it to get into ketosis faster, but I'm not sure if it's right. Many doesn't like the effect on the stomach and some people just sware by it claiming it boosts their energy!!

I can see that body builders and such who want to maintain ketosis and not burn proteins while working out may need the MCT oil to provide easy energy. It would be of no use to a non-active person, other than to add extra fat and calories.

OWL,
I was wondering about this as well.
OWl, you speak and express yourself so well and made references to Americans that have me considering a different country? When I first came to the site, it amazed me how so many people from so many parts of the world have so much in common!
I am in the United States and in the state of ALABAMA which is considered the DEEP SOUTH. This area is very conservative in thoughts and we say we do not set our time with watches but use calendars to mark time instead! Just a decade backwards from the rest of the world and they are happy about it LOL. This group of ladies pretty well cover the USA in location AND MARY is in Egypt! That to me is exciting! All my assumptions of you being in a foreign country than here may get me in hot water and you could live in New Jersey!

Carl bought dark french roast coffee and did not tell me. I thought I would DIE drinking that witch's brew!!! Burned my tongue too!

Going to lie down and get rid of this growning head ache.

I bless all the little coffee beans, whether they are roasted Frenchly or any other way! But they must be served with cream.

I am a coffee fanatic.. I have to have my coffee. I remember when I first started back on DANDR I gave up coffee for a month.. that was horrible.

I have my ritual of grinding my beans, the darker and fuller roast the better..
