Talking *hey all* New member with no diet specific questions, just a general one (BodyOpus)

I have been doing the good ole Zone, 30,30,40....and its dull....and slow. So my brother lent me the Underground BodyOpus and told me to read over it. I did...I was kinda weary about low carb diets cause the media puts a bad spin on them and I have heard all the "its not healthy" stuff. Thats why I am hear, I need to research this all first, so my stats to the left do not reflect any low carb diet or current diet. I have lost 25 pounds in the past few months but nothing to do with low carb.

I have all the time and flexability in my schedule to really diet right, and I want to do something where I feel I am activly and swiftly losing weight. I am not in search of a miracle diet, I dont expect pounds to drop off magically. But something strict that shows results at least bi weekly will keep me motivated.

My question is...something as disciplined as BodyOPus is obviously going to be hard.....but will it be beneficial or dangerous to someone who is not "thin"

The book advertises as "A diet for people who arent fat" Its obviously for people already in shape. I am a 23 year old 6"1" 265 pound male. I am fairly sedentary..or have been. Since april I have been lifting and running daily. I am fat, I'm not pear shaped my shoulders are broad, I have some muscle, but nothing to talk about really.

My question is.....aside form the discipline and mental ability to do a cycle or 2 of Dan Duchaines Bodyupos diet....will it work, be beneficial, and safe for a person like me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, even a "go fuck yourself"
