Default temptations & boredom

I, too, am afraid of adding any starches. I haven't lost that much yet, but I am losing for a change, so I don't want to disturb the chemistry. That's why I'm a little anxious about switching to CAD/CALP. I like the whole premise better (not to mention the reward meals), but what if it doesn't work for me? I know that's silly and not true, but still...it is a more normal way of eating and living. It is nearly impossible to avoid every bit of flour at every restaurant or someone else's home. I was hoping to hit the 10-pound mark before switching, but at my rate that might be Christmas!!
