Talking moving toward maintenance

I'm just about to do the "pre-maintenance" phase of Atkins and am desperately seeking advice. Does anyone out there have any tips, tricks, etc to pass on?

Thanks so much-

Default I see you've already figured it out!

I can tell by your profile that you've already reached your goal weight, so you must have figured out your own strategies.

Please share them. How long did you stay in the pre-maintenance phase and how did it feel?

Thanks,
Nelle

Unhappy NOT IN MAINT!

Thank you so much for your reply, I thought this forum had died. Unfortunately, I've never quite managed the pre-maint thing. Every time I add even a very conservative amoung of carbs-like some strawberries, low-carb pancakes, that kind of thing-it shoots my weight right back up over goal, and I have to drop back to OWL. It happened again over the weekend. It's very frustrating

Any help out there?!?!

Thanks in advance-I am determined NOT to gain it back, but this is very difficult!!!

Could your jump in weight after adding new foods just be one of those little blips we all get on the screen? Maybe you need to give it a little more time before you panic and immediately cut back on your carbs. I know my weight kinda bounces some, but then stabilizes after a few days.

Unhappy

I'm giving my body several days to adjust. I don't weigh myself more than once or twice a week. On maintenance, you have to keep an eye on the scale so that you don't gain back.
