Hi! Mints and gum?? If you include them as part of your carb portion of the reward meal the can be included, but remember they are pure sugar- no fiber and no nutrition. In my opinion this carb portion would be better used on vegies or even a piece of fruit. I am not sure but you may have to be rid of the gum within the 1 hr time limit to not have a second insulin rush. The CALP book said to be careful with gum, even the sugarless. The body will respond like sugar to anything it thinks is sweet.
Good luck. Remember most of are frusterated because we think the loss should all happen fast. Usually the gain didn't!My theory is sthe pounds crept into my life, and so they will only creep away too!!
