Unhappy Can't make it Sunday

My niece is being Christened this Sunday, so I can't make it. Does anyone ever get together in Hamilton?

How about The Mandarin on Upper James? They have several low carb selections...you just have to be choosy. They have some sugar free desserts and are right across the alley from Hamilton's newest low carb store and you can put the tables together for a large group.

Default Dinner in Hamilton

The Mandarin has low carb??? Cool, who knew? Sounds great, Mondays and Wednesdays are best for me. Let's do it soon, the longer we put it off, the less likely it is to happen! Who else is in? Are you still in Hamilton Chefs?

Oh my its been so long since I've been here. I just reregistered under chefs13. My hardrive died and I couldn't remember the URL for this site. I have it written on paper this time. Did anyone get together in the summer? I was so looking forward to doing the around the horseshoe 1st annual get togeather. I guess we'll have to regroup and start again. Note* the desserts at the Maderine may be sugar free but they contain white flour

Yes it worked, I'm back in as chefs.Christied, I am so broke right now. Paid for my youngest son to go to Ohio to play football. So dinning out is just not the right time for me. But getting together for coffee just to meet and greet would be perfect for me. I live near Dundurn and King in Hamilton. Theres a Tim Hortons right near there, unless of course a different location is easier for others. I'm off Friday, work the weekend and then off on Monday. I also have a4 day holiday staring next Thursday

Can you come up the mountain? Do you drive? I'd love to meet other local LCers, and think we should get together. Upper James is good for me, there is a Starbucks in my plaza... they have LC muffins. Mind you, Mandarin might still be cheaper than Starbucks!! Monday after 3?

I don't have a problem with that at all, although I have heard Starbucks prices are outrages. Lets see if we can get others to meet and greet also. There doesn't happen to be a Tim Hortons near there is there? How does Monday at say 8pm sound? That way I can get the family fed before I leave. They all get home from work and school around 5:30. I'll see who I can PM, who may also be interested

Some of the things there are low carb. You just have to be careful and pick and choose and steer away from the higher carb choices.

That is why I only stick with a couple scoops of sugar free ice cream, some strawberries and I peel the bottoms off of a couple servings of the bite sized peices of sugarfree cheesecake.

You really have to watch the sauces too. Some contain sugar and/or cornstarch. Mind you they still have alot to choose from. Thats were my works has their Xmas party every year. Unfortunately it may be under 12 $ but it mays as well be a million, since my budget is none existant at this time

I would not be able to go to the Mandarin in the next week as Halloween is my oldest son's birthday and we go there every Halloween for his birthday.
I am doing a very strict induction right now until then so I can afford the few extra carbs I tend to eat there on that evening AND I just will not have the money for it until then.
