Unhappy Hidden Carbs??????

I have a question for anyone that can help....

I have been eating cheese sticks and cubes for my snacks. The packages say that it is 1 or >1 carb per 8 cubes or per stick. Is this true. I thought I read somewhere that cheese had more carbs. If that is the case then I have been going WAY OVER my limit!!!!!!

Can anyone clarify this?
I tried fitday.com but they do not have by this sticks or cubes, neither does the carb counter here.

I appreciate any response, hopefully good news.

Chelle,
From what I understand, cheese cubes usually have 1 gm in a serving. I've never heard that cheese has a lot. You usually have to watch out when things say 0 or less than 1 gm. But I think that sounds reliable what's on your package.
Just remember, if you are having problems, it may just be too much cheese, not that you are going over on carbs.
Hope this helps!

chelle, try out carb calculator under "Low carb tools" All kinds of cheeses are listed, and you can change the serving size. I would suggest that if there isnt an amount for a cube or a string, weigh one of them to get an approximation of 100g.

Cheeses vary in carbs, just like all other foods that contain them. FYI, Guyere is one of the lowest

Thank you ladies...
I've been looking for a scale to do this with (without spending too much money), however, I haven't found one yet....

I have one that's ancient. My mom got one from weight watchers... a kitchen store might have one for you... Never really thought about where you'd get one . Have you tried your grocery store? We have these mega stores with kitchen gadgets and the like, It wouldnt surprize me to find one in there.

I got mine at Walmart in their kitchen section. They had a whole bunch of them, even expensive digital ones! I stuck with the $3.99 special.....

I have tried Walmart, but they only had the more expensive ones---imagine that---so I will keep checking. In fact we just had a kitchen gadget store open in our local mall. I just haven't been in there yet for fear of spending away!!!

Thanks, I will keep trying..
