Default Is it necessary to read all the books?

I was planning on just buying CALP but I read in a previous thread that CAD has things that CALP left out.
Do I need to read all the books or just CALP?

My husband bought me the CAD book on accident. I had the CALP book but it was never returned when I loaned it to a friend. CALP was written after the CAD book so anything that was left out is not necessary on CALP. I find CALP much easier to understand and found CAD to be very confusing and even contradictory.

CALP is very simple! My Complementary Meals (CMs) are balanced with the same amount of protein and veggies. My Reward Meal (RM) begins with a minimum of 2 cups of salad and then I divide my plate into thirds, adding the same amount of protein, veggies, and carbs. I do not measure or weigh my food, since it is not necessary.

The book is well worth buying since there is so much more information than the actual way to follow the plan. I was pretty well informed, but bought another one when mine was not returned.

I have a website that has sample menus of what I have been eating. You can get to my website by clicking on the link in my signature.

I hope that CALP works for you as well as it does for me. Good luck to you in finding your way!
