DK141612,

When looking for a Peanut butter just look for 'All Natural'. Then turn it around & make sure that it doesn't have sugar in it. I guess if you don't have a problem w/ salt or you just can't find one w/out salt than a Peaunt butter that has salt in it is fine. Just omit the salt in the recipe.

You should be able to find the Brown Sugar twin at either your grocery store or a store like Kmart in your area, that is what I hear from people in the states. I just get mine at Safeway up here in Vancouver. Is the local store that you went to a Large chain store? Maybe try calling around to see who in your are has it. That is what I do so that I don't drag myself around all day

Have a good day

Candice

Sorry I forgot to say that in the states you have a different kind of SugarTwin.....The white & brown sugar twin up here are both made w/ cyclamates.
I found something that might interest you....

you can order the 'Canadian' SugarTwin online at:

It checked the All Natural made w/o Salt PB, and it was the highest in carbs..I don't remember if it was sugar carbs or not. I'll look at the jar again when I go back. I'll look for the brown sugar twin somewhere in a health food store, or something similar to it.

Thanks again

That link was very helpful. I'm still very iffy about ordering food from the internet. Some places should carry the brown sugar and peanut butter. I have Jiffy PB at my house, but it has around 6g carbs. I need to go grocery shopping.

I just made a batch of cookies but only got 30 out of it, oh well, they were pretty small anyhow. I went to Safeway and Kraft makes a no sugar no salt peanut butter, 2.1 gr carbs, less than the 100% all natural peanut butter, tastes really good too.
Next week is the cheesecake, gotta have it. YUMMM

Talking

I have always used a recipe for regular chewy peanut butter cookies that consists of 1 c PB, 1 egg and 1 c sugar. That's it! And lately I have been wondering if this recipe will transfer over with Splenda.

I am going to try my recipe and yours this afternoon... I can't wait. I love PB cookies. Now if there was a better milk sub than cream and water to go with them.

Thumbs up Peanut Butter Cookies

I now make a batch of these cookies each week - they really get me through. I tried to fancy them up a bit - I made them similar to thumbprint cookies and put a little dab of sugarfree strawberry jam in each one. They were great. I have to count them to be sure my husband is not sneaking them - he's not low-carbing, so he can't have my treats and his ice-cream too.

I actually love these too. I try not to make these cookies to often though because I will eat to many of them. I really like to make them with the cocoa mixed in.

Thank you
Candice

I'm out of baking soda, or I'd be making them tonight. But tomorrow is another day.

I just made these tonight and they are SOO good and addictive!!! Really fabulous!

Haven't had any 'cookies' except those pricey not quite right low carb sugar alcohol ones!

I have printed out a copy and am going to keep it in my recipe file.

Thank you so much for this delicious treat!!
