Well, I really dont feel like eating lunch (and I didnt feel like eating breakfast). So would it be ok to just skip my CMs (breakfats and lunch)? I think it might be my "biorythym", which is your own bodys appitiet pattern. Thanks...

Hi Benny,

Yes, it is fine if you want to skip 1 or both of your CM's. Rachael Heller lost her weight by eating just a RM.

Oh I'm hoping that'll happen to me soon. This was my first day on CALP and for whatever reason I was hungry all day. *shrugs*

Give it time Jiggerz... once your insulin adjusts, you won't even notice any hunger.

Much hunger is mastaking of rthirst. A tip, if you only eat a RM, EAT ATLEAST 50 GRAMS OF PROTEIN. That is the amount needed for a healthy body. Thanks for the ansers guys...

Hi Jig,

The first day is always the worst. I know it takes me 3 days before I get myself under control. Some people it takes a week. Each day does get a little easier.

Make sure that you are eating enough at your CM's. That is very important, especially right now. Another thing too, if you feel like you are going to go off of plan because you are so hungry, especially just starting out, the Heller's claim it is better to eat some protein and a little CM veggie and fill up, than it would be to be miserable because you are starved. You will find within a week your hunger will be under control and so will any carb cravings you have. Hang in there and before you know your body will be in balance and you will feel great.

Thanks guys.....

....I assumed that since I'm coming off 6 months of 20 carbs/Atkins...it'd be a breeze to slip into this. I think the hunger yesterday was mostly related to two things: TOM and bare cupboards . Nothing really sounded good..out of what I had, and during TOM my body screams at me, "carbs! carbs!"...and I ignore it. I did include some low-fat granola cereal and a little skim milk as my RM carb. I about choked AFTER (you'd think I'd learn) I ate it when I plugged it into fitday and got a look at the carb count.....whoa. The amazing thing to me was, after that...my weight didnt change one ounce after that this morning. Works for me

Benny.... in hindsight, I think you're right on about the thirst/hunger thing. I know I didnt get my 8 glasses in yesterday...thanks for bringing that up, I'll be more conscious about it today.

Dianne...thanks for the lil protein/lil veg hint. Yesterday I kept telling myself, "do not eat between meals...do not eat between meals"....which probably if I hadnt I wouldnt have thought about it more

IAteIt...Here's to a less hungry day and more stable insulin
