Default Wow it really does work!! Well for my husband anyway!

So I've been on this keto diet since 6 Jan, I've lost 4.5 pounds. Not bad for 2 weeks, I wish it was more but hey it's a loss. Mr C on the other hand has lost a whopping 19 pounds!! And he started 2 days after me!! WTF?! Admittedly he has a lot more weight to lose than me and he's male, but its still a phenomenal amount of weight! WAY TO GO MR C!!

Mrs. C, welcome! Yes, it really does work. Between you and your husband, you're off to a very good start. Best wishes on the journey.

Scale weight is an imperfect, if not completely unreliable, measure of the health benefits of low carb and fat loss. If your DH is large he may have also had a good amount of edema or water weight to lose, resulting in his dramatic loss. Here is a good explanation of the typical pattern of scale weight on a Keto diet. http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=365499 And if you go through "stalls" later, see the newest video posted end of thread how and why fat cells release water and fat. Best measure of health? Waist circumference, goal of waist half height.
