I started drinking green tea last week for female reasons (helps improve the 'environment' for conception - if you want more specifics, you can send me a PM since this board isn't about trying to conceive ) and I have not changed anything in my diet/daily routine other than that.

Since Friday I have lost 3 lbs. Whoosh!
(I've been averaging about 1 lb a week - and that's not consistent - often I'm only losing 1/2 lb a week - so 3 lbs in 3 days is a big whoosh for me.)

I am drinking Celestial Seasonings DECAF Mint Green Tea. The caffeine is bad for women trying to conceive. So, obviously, the Decaf part does NOT reduce the weight loss benefits - at least for me. I've been adding stevia to sweeten it with just a touch of granular splenda. The two together have a lovely sweetness. Sometimes I add a bit of heavy cream. (I know it's not the way it's supposed to be done, but I've always liked milk/cream in my tea regardless of the type.)

I drink two 16 oz cups a day (32 oz total).

I discovered "Candy cane" tea by Celestial Seasonings last Christmas. Green tea with peppermint and vanilla. Waaaay yummy!
Generally I only drink tea when I am feeling sick or have a cold. I do take the green tea capsules every day though, I don't really think that they speed up my weightloss, I take them for the supposed health benefits.

I love tea, always have. Never thought of it much for weight loss although I have heard about it. Republic of tea makes a pink lady apple green that is to die for!

on the white teas, the water has to me almost to boiling, but not boiling about 180 degrees, and brewed for 1 minute only. otherwise they are very bitter.

I am drinking more tea, whether is works or not, its good for you and good tasting...
