Default UK Vegetarian Low Carb Food Sources

If there are any other UK-based vegetarian low-carbers (could I be in more of a minority if I tried?) then you may have noticed it hard to find a lot of the foods quoted in low-carb recipes.

If you know of any good UK sources of low-carb vegetarian food, please take a moment to list them in this thread.

I've already listed a few in another forum and don't want to crosspost so here's a link to my shopping list of common items at my local supermarkets, with carb counts where I could find them:
http://forum.lowcarber.org/showpost...0&postcount=445

I have some particular requests of items I know you can buy online (http://www.lowcarbmegastore.com/ is a great UK site for many such things) but if anyone knows a physical store that sells any, that would be great:
  • Sugar-free vegetarian jelly - I'd prefer a sucralose-sweetened one but frankly can't find anything so any suggestions would be great.
  • Psyllium husks.
  • Wheat gluten flour or Seitan.
  • DaVinci sugar-free syrups or similar sucralose-sweetened syrups.
  • Low carb baking mix.
  • Very low carb veggie burgers, sausages, grills, etc - I list the best I have found in my linked post but if you can find better ones I'm all ears.
  • Spaghetti squash - I've been trying to find this low-carb pasta alternative everywhere and even tried growing my own (only the slugs gained anything edible from that). Apparently Waitrose used to stock it but my local one certainly don't. Any ideas?

Psyllium husks and wheat gluten - I imagine would be normally stocked in Holland & Barratt

Seitan - any Asian market. Also Whole Foods or Planet Organic if anyone is looking in London.

DaVinci sugar-free syrups or similar sucralose-sweetened syrups and Low carb baking mix would only be at lowcarbmegastore.com, as far as I am know.

Very low carb veggie burgers, sausages, grills, etc - I list the best I have found in my linked post but if you can find better ones I'm all ears. - SOME Quorn products are low carb. I remember I used to get their sausages.... but of all the kinds they do, I remember only liking one kind, carb-count wise, for me anyway.

And I would add ground almonds from Tesco's to your low carb shopping list. WAY better, and way better FOR you, than any low carb baking mix. It's only a quid for a 200g bag.

Also shirataki or konnyaku noodles if you do have access to an Asian foods market. 0 carb AND 0 cal, AND all natural. It's just a sea vegetable,... but subs nicely for noodles when you really want pasta but don't want to go off plan AT ALL.

Good luck.
