Default Vegeterian and Semi-Vegeterian Kids

My nearly 11 yr old daughter is doing very well with the changes I've made, I am very proud of her. She has taken to eating healthy snacks like granola bars and eaten healthy dinners including the pasta dishes I've made lately with tons of veggies in the sauce-(hidden in there of course), and made with whole wheat pasta-(the Mueller's brand-you can't tell the difference). She is eating fruit, though slowly, but I am very proud of her. I didn't tell her that we were becoming semi-vegeterians because the last time that we were vegeterians I found her at a friends house eating a hamburger. I'm just making lifestyle changes.

My question is, what ideals do you have when it comes to your own kids and feeding them? What tips do you have, what does your kids like to eat? How do they handle their eating choices, is it natural or do you have to remind them?

i would say you just have to keep trying with the healthy choices; kids will not always do what you want, but the message seeps thru I think.
I have a 3.5 yr old & I don't really have any ideals as such, but I want to avoid him eating candy - not always sucessful, since they see the colorful things everywhere & insist on getting some. however, i dole it out in small portions. i also don't really make a big deal of dessert & hardly ever make it at home. do not give him any juices either - only water & milk. i keep trying to push eggs, cheese, fruits & vegetables, but sometimes it works & sometimes not.
only time will tell what he eats like in future
