Default Substitute for Almond meal?

I am extremely allergic to all nuts and find that many recipes use nutmeal or butters. I need to find a substitute that will work with the texture and outcome of the final product. Any idea's would be greatly appreciated.

flaxseed or coconut and or both are 2 you could try, they wont be exactly the same so it may take a few attemps to get the mix down correct.

ty, she is about 3 1/3 years old.....my DW keeps her in a puppy cut though rather than let her hair grow long like a lot of people do with Malteses.

I couldnt seem to find it but there is another thread about this same thing with some other suggestions.
A couple others you can try are "hemp hearts", or deshelled sunflower seeds ground.

You could also try carb quick if there are no allergens there.

Many of the recipies using almond meal do so for bulk. Soy flour, soy isolate, or whey powder could be used in some. If there is a spacific recipie you find you like the looks of, ask how to substatute for that particular recipie.
