Default on again off again

Hi you all. I've been doing the Adkins diet on and off for a few years and had a pregnancy in the middle that I stopped completely during. I've also been on Slenderweigh during this time. I've gone from 220 to 155. Now I'm having trouble loosing the last 5 to 10 pounds. I have decided I think sometimes it helps to just go off for a few days and eat what I want then restart the induction. What do you all think? I'm scared to get off the slenderwiegh too because I usually gain then. Congrats to all of you!

Hi willow - what you are suggesting is almost a reversal diet. Atkins talks about it...

I tried it and gained. Then when I went back on induction, I lost. Not any more than Igained however, which makes me think it was just waterweight.

Those last 5-10 pounds can be a hassle. I weighted 152 on Dec 31 2000, I hit 142, only 2 days ago, and delightfully I am still there this morning.

So that is almost 11 months to lose 10 pounds.

Check out my graph that is in my success story thread. It shows how *lack* of loss, can really be a VERRRRRRRY SLOOOOOOW loss

Default Hi Willow

The last 5-10 pounds on ANY diet is hard to lose. Just stick with it and it will come off. Maybe having 2 days where U change your diet then get back on it might budge the scales. If U do that I wouldnt weigh yourself for a week tho.
