hi Robyn-
there are so many things to look forward to doing. Everything seems easier when I wasn't all inflamed and insulin resistant. Shopping for clothes is a lot more fun when stuff fits you off the rack! Hiking, biking and kayaking are easier. Having more energy, sleeping better, no more rosacea, moving easier, having better health, not having as many colds, not being as hungry, feeling proud of myself knowing I'm taking care of my health, learning new things about my body and about the science of food and eating- there are so many things and lots of them happen even before goal.
You are on your way!!

The simple feeling of accomplishment
Being able to say "I DID IT"

I am working on 2 goals right now:
Quitting smoking
Getting down to a size 7

My Dr will take me off my med's if I quit smoking as my numbers are all good ( due to weight loss)....but I am at risk because I smoke.

Hi Robyn,
I am looking forward to not putting tiny little "cuts" in the waistband of some of my pants because they are uncomfortable!
All the best,
Maeve

I'm looking forward to making new goals regarding fitness. Maybe even go take a yoga class or something. I'm a walker and have exercise equipment at home and I use it some, but still too self-conscious to do things like that in front of people. I would like to really build some muscle. I have thin legs and a big stomach. If I had "thunder thighs" I would be more balanced. In more ways than one!

My ultimate vanity goal is to be able to slip comfortably into a 34 waist pair of jeans. I have about an inch more to lose all around - so close! More practically, I'm looking forward to enjoying my golden years with greater mobility, better sleep and mood, and minimal aches and pains if any. My biggest goals in losing weight are 20% appearance and 80% feeling well. One fuels the other. Low carb for life!

After 30 years of being trapped on the wrong side of the fence, I'm just happy to be back in the game again. I see life for its possibilities - not filtered through my endless list of limitations. I can't do everything, but at least now I can try. Not chafing or sweating profusely while I'm doing it is good, too.

One thing that was kind of a shock to me was my perception that normal sized people my age were all relatively healthy and living life as they please. I was seeing them through rose colored glasses. Most are not the picture of health. They have limitations, too. When I finally achieved a normal size I felt like a kid again. I wanted to go out and play. But most of the kids my age just want to sit inside and watch TV. I rarely watch TV anymore. I've got a life to live.
