About 13 years agoI was smoking 4 pks a day. I tried Ziban and it helped some. Then I tried using the patch and Ziban and it helped even more but I would go a few days and have a cigeret
ect. Well then I started a DAILY walking program. After 2 weeks
I threw Ziban away and a weak later tosed the patch too, I continued to walk every day and 2 months after I had my last
cigeret I was smoke free and about 6 pounds lighter. Continued
the daily walking for a couple of years and walked off about 40 lbs. something hapened and I stoped the walking and the weight came right back. Well I am still smoke free as of today.

If you don't exercise you realy might give it a try it helped me.

I stutter and have a weight problem. it hapens that if I am thin
and on a simi low carb diet i don't stutter nearly as much. Well
back in 1980 after losing ~40 lbs and maintaining that weight for
6 months. At this time I started using a method to controle my
stuttering which because of my weight loss wasn't as bad as it had been. The method worked extremley well for me and I no longer stuttered. Well life shows up and I started back smoking
again only to find if I smoked that method to controle my stuttering just wouldn't work for me at all. I would quit smoking
for a week and stop stuttering only to pick the cigerets up again. Over the next 20 years I would try to quit and maby guit for a month or so and gain weight. Well some times I just
just told myself i can eat anything i want just don't smoke.
Well 150 lbs later I was still smoking. Then I tried again using the
patch and zyban and although they helped I just couldn't quit.
Then I continued to use the patch and zyban and added taking a daily walk. Gave up the patch about a month later and quit
taking the zyban but continued to exercise. Three years later I
was still smoke free and had walked off 40 lbs. I stoped my daily
exercise and my weight loss stopped. But I am still smoke free
13 years and feel I owe the daily exercise a lot of the credit.

I was a smoker for 8 years 1-2 packs a day ...I'm 27... My hubby is too..I loved smoking not going to lie...but for the past year I'd guilt myself and even cry over whether I was hurting my own health ect.. I prayed about it and would continue to smoke...December 31st I woke up and wasn't interested in smoking with hubby ..had my coffee...a couple days later still no urge and I said maybe I have a cold it was so weird I swear every urge to go when my husband went was gone...it doesn't even bother me to see other people...it's just plain gone and for a few weeks I tested myself I would say well you can get dressed and have a smoke ...but I just don't care anymore....So it's been 50 days I think maybe 49 today but I never thought I'd ever quit....
