Hello,

I'm new to the low carb way of eating seeing some folks with some good results in my personal live I have decided to give it a fair trial. I have finished reading Why We Get Fat and decided to go for it.

I'm about 3 weeks into induction eating about 20g net carbs a day from the Atkins "foundation vegetables". For proteins I've been eating all the animals that creep, fly, swim or perambulate. Some of these animals are kind enough to provide us with extra fat that can be of use in the cooking of others, including the vegetables.

I am so fortunate that I have not had any adverse reactions to this way of eating except for figuring out what to do with myself after a meal. I get so "energized" now. Rather than the usual semi-comma-trance that inevitably followed a large meal of mainly carbs, I'm now looking for stuff to do and flapping my gums. I may be starting to annoy my friends.

I have over 100 lbs to free myself of and saw this form as an opportunity to join like minded fellow travelers on this journey.

May I join?
