Question Lowcarb Icecream in WA???

Does anyone know where I can get low-carb icecream in Western Australia?

I emailed peters and nestle and one of them (can't remember which one) left a message on my mobile saying they have a low-carb icecream available in stores now but they didn't say which stores or which states!

I've looked in Woolworths, Coles, and Action and can't find any..

Can anyone help?

The Peters low carb icecream can only be purchased in the Eastern states. This is from the Nestle website:

NESTLÉ PETERS is a trade mark owned outside Western Australia by Société de Produits Nestlé SA, a Nestlé company. Peters is a trade mark owned in Western Australia by the Peters and Browne Group which manufactures and sells ice cream products in Western Australia. There is no connection between the Nestlé companies and the Peters and Browne Group of Western Australia. The advertised products are manufactured by a Nestlé company and are not available in Western Australia

I have seen a low-carb icecream in Coles but I can't remember the exact name......something like Dairy Bell?? anyway it didn't look that low carb to me and I have never tried it.

I'm not positive, but I think Baskin and Robbins have low carb icecream. I had a look at their website and they had a few listed, but I guess it is up to the individual shops to choose to carry them. If you are wanting to you could email them and find out! Good luck!

Oh my god oh my god oh my god, your're right rogshe!

I checked their web site http://www.baskinrobbins.com.au/nutrition_info.asp

They have 3 varieties of.. and low-ish carb count. The Chocolate chip has 7g per 114g serving - so you could have it as a rare treat.

I've been looking everywhere for LC icecream! Excellent.

I spoke to Peters when the lc icecream was first released, and they told me it couldn't be sold in wa for legal reasons. However, I suggested to Coles that they sell it under their Farmland homebrand, therefore avoiding legal implications, and they said that if there was enough interest then it would certainly be an option. So ring up your local Coles and hassle them for it!
By the way - the dairy bell ice 'confection' isn't very nice...it's more like sweet ice.

Yeah I got the same spiel from ‘Peters’ – anyway since then I have discovered that Baskin Robbins now has 3 different low-carb icecreams.. I haven’t had time to go and try them out though. Has anyone tasted them?

Yes I've been getting the choc chip ice cream from baskin robbins (we've bought a big tub of it for christmas). It's quite good...not very creamy though because it's low fat too. This is the only flavour I've been able to find, and it's not available in all stores either. The Melville and Claremont shops have it.

I had the Peter's LC ice-cream and the 'laxative effect' mentioned in the small-print is alive and well with that particular product (you're welcome for the overshare) And the carb count isn't that low, I found it stalled me really badly so I just gave up. Too much pain for not enough gain I will try baskin robbins, a scoop here & there can't do too much harm, eh?
