Default Help! Since I started this I am so Constipated!!!

What do I do to alleviate? I drink 60oz of water / day. I am eating veggies and fruits and protein but everything is going in by not going out!!

Psyllium husks

I take it for added fibre in my diet. Mix 1 Tbsp with warm water and drink it down Its not nice, but it works . Nat adds lemon juice and splenda I think... I dont like lemon so just take it plain. There are also pills I think?

Hi Vev,

Psyllium husks, definitely, but you also need more water. You should be drinking 64 oz water PLUS another 8oz for every extra 25 lbs you need to lose.

And when you take the psyllium husks (you can get them in capsules) you need extra water because the psyllium absorbs water. Try it (psyllium + extra water) for a few days and I think you'll have a pleasant surprise.

Oh and the reason I know this is because I had the same problem at the beginning!

I am definitely doing the extra water (thanks Rosebud!) I am also going to drink ground flax seed in water as my fiber source!!! That way I get fiber and EFAs....

I think I can do this!!!

Have you tried mixing those little flax seeds with natural peanut butter and spreading them on a LC cracker or LC bread? Or, skip the bread and add a few raisins into the PB mix. Like dessert.

If i mix, it's an easier for me to get those gritty little things down.
