Up until today, I was so excited about this program. I didn't think it would be this hard. I'm used to eating Puerto Rican food which contains tons of rice and beans along with other not so good carbs. Last night, my mom and I went out and bought all the food we would need. This morning we poured ourselves 6 oz. each of 100% vegetable juice cocktail. I couldn't take it. I felt so nauseous. Is this cocktail essential? or is there something I could do substitute? We went walking for 30 minutes after we ate our vegetable quiche cups and had some decaf tea. When we came back I could taste that horrible vegetable juice cocktail and had to go to sleep. Could anybody help with this problem?
Thank you.

Hi and welcome!
The quick answer is no...you don't have to eat or drink anything that you don't enjoy...veggie juice cocktail is merely a suggestion.
It's offered as an option if you don't want to eat veggies with your breakfast. I like some slices of tomato, asparagus and cucumber in the mornings and you should find some that you enjoy.
The whole point of learning to eat this way is to make it so that you will keep eating this way for life...not just to see weight loss. If you aren't liking the food, you won't stick with it.
Hope this helps!!
